- Mary A2 contributionsMy husband and I travelled from Massachusetts to see Miss Saigon with my Aunt who is a resident of White Plains. The show was incredible. It was a beautiful story and the performers were excellent. I had also seen Jersey boys at the beginning of the year and enjoyed that very much. I thought the staff was especially helpful and it was a wonderful experience. - NYEMUG1New York City, NY38 contributionsPleasant place for off season walking and hiking. Nice kids playground. I would imagine its crowded in the summer with the huge pool on one end of the park. Also watch out for deer....yes deer in White Plains. One ran right in front of me at 6 am when I drove by there a few weeks ago. I love how the guide didn’t just talk about Percy Grainger’s music, but also described the cultural, social, and economic impact of his work and life. And they had a harmonium!!! There are over one hundred cherry trees (mix of Kwanzan & Yoshino) which provide spectacular color every spring. I stopped here for some photography shots when running errands downtown, and the architecture of the building really stood out to me. - jmpjoyRye, NY38 contributionsI pass this store everyday on my way to work for past two years. I finally stopped in the other evening and was beyond pleasantly surprised. First, the store is stunning. The selection at first appears to be only super high end but after George showed me the value selection where there are over 75 wines under $15, I realized that you can’t judge a book by its cover. In addition, the spirits were an added plus. I purchased a whiskey that was a big hit at a gathering later that night along with a mixed case of wine (15% discount). I will be back! - Satshil2 contributionsWe hired Wings to fly us for our wedding in June 2022 in Mahwah, NJ. Anna, our contact at Wings, helped us pick out a great helicopter for my wedding entrance and exit. Our experience with the team was fantastic! Anna was extremely helpful and professional, and we had multiple emails and calls to get our vision just right. She did not rush us and was eager to work with our complicated requests. Unfortunately I did not get the name of our Pilot, but he was extremely professional during our entire ride. He helped us into the helicopter with large Indian wedding clothing which is a huge task in a confined space, and he gave us some fun facts about the surrounding area on the way to our venue. The Groom’s entrance, or “Baarat” in our language is usually done on extravagant vehicles, and this helicopter definitely stole the show.
