About
Soar the Great Gorge, high above the racing Niagara River. You'll be transported through the air in an antique cable car, while far below the torrent of water abruptly changes direction and creates one of the world’s most mesmerizing natural phenomena – the Niagara Whirlpool. Sometimes frightening and always unforgettable!

Good little tour if you have some extra time, not a must see!
We enjoyed this. You take the green line North to get here and get to drive through some nice quiet neighborhoods on the way. I would suggest this if you had a little extra time and were looking for something to do, but not a must see item.

    Okay. You're not missing anything.
My kid loved it, and that is all that matters! Right!? It was a very very short trip across the river and you don't get off the Aero Car. In fact, we had to pull a "musical chair" thing so everyone was able to get the view of both sides of the car. It was interesting, but honestly, we saw the same things from the overlook. The thrill was solely just riding the aero car.

    View the whirlpools from above!
Quick, easy way to cross the river (and the US border) and back. Takes 5 minutes and does not stop in the States but gives pretty views. It's open air and you're standing so not great for mobility challenged people. Good fun though, inexpensive and quick to do.

    Good views, okay experience
A little bit different than the rest of the attractions at Niagara Falls. We took the WEGO bus to and from Table Rock Center to this attraction. There was hardly any wait. There were about twenty people in the cable car. Step into the car on either side. They’ll have you rotate sides before returning back to the station. Good views of the Niagara River. You’ll see the whirlpools at the river’s elbow. It was included in our pass so we went. Otherwise, we probably would have skipped this.

    Amazing ride , Hello US
The ride is wonderful, usually there is that may take an hour but it moves since each ride around 15 person join. The scene is amazing, especially looking at the US side and the counterclockwise swirl of the river at Canada side. Practically starts and finishes at canada territory, except few meters pat of the river during the ride.the system is new, based on old system used to work long time ago.

    Nice scenic trip
The cable car takes you on a short ride across the River gorge a few minutes from Niagara Falls. It offers a scenic view of the river and whirlpool below. We used the WeGo green bus to visit it, the whitewater walk, the floral clock and the butterfly observatory.

Impressive views and long lines to get into the ride
Views from the ride are impressive. However, we stood in line for 2 hours to take the 20 minute ride. Even though we had a confirmed time on the reservation. Not worth the wait or the ride. We choose to go here as it was included in Niagara falls pass.

    Beautiful Views
This was a fun ride, you can see so much more in this areo car than just from the lookout point. The morning I was there there were several vultures circling around, no doubt some poor creature below was about to expire they were waiting for. The swirling whirlpool, the churning green water, just lovely. Be warned this areo car is a fairly snug fit, there is not lots of room to move around once you are on it. The stairs going down to it and then back up to the main level afterwards are not fun. It's a shame they hadn't a platform or elevator to get to the car.

    Wonderful Experience
Hanging over the raging whirlpools, watching boats in the water and people along the beaches below, is a wonderful experience. Tickets are timed. There is a nice gift shop with bathrooms while you're waiting for your turn to queue up.

    Great view of the whirlpool!
Fun little trip across. Wish we were out there longer. It's great that they rotate all the people around the car so you can see the rapids on one side and the whirlpool on the otherside. If you afraid of water or heights this is not for you. Go early and reserve your tickets ahead of time!

Whirlpool Aero car is a must visit attraction for people who love the nature and beauty of water. Aero car take you from one side to other hanging about 240 feet up in air from water underneath on steel ropes.
Water comes from one direction and go in opposite direction making whirlpools when make full circle.
Worth seeing.

It should be no great surprise the original name of this attraction was the Spanish Aero Car, in honour of its Spanish engineer Leonardo Torres Quevedo. Opened in
1916, its cable spans over 500 meters of the ominous Niagara Whirlpool [roughly 76 meters below], the machinery chambers dug into Thompson Point opposite. $17 plus tax will get you a fun ride, actually entering US air space on a couple of
occasions. Don't worry, there's no passport check. If things are luckily timed, you can even catch the Whirlpool Jet Boat doing a Hamilton turn beneath you, the southern end of its journey. No speeding tickets to worry about. The maximum of 40 passengers putters along at 4.2/km an hour.

My husband and I went on the Aero Car after the wet Jet Boats. It was fun to see the landscape and whirlpool from above after being in the water. The car is secure, stable and was not scary for me. I am a little afraid of heights and don't do zip lines or anything like that. This was fine for me. It felt sturdy for sure. As you enter the car on one side, you stand along each side and have railings on both sides of you. The interior of the car is up a step and has its own railing. Don't worry about which side you start on because at the other side, everyone walks clockwise until you are all on the opposite side from where you started. You get to see both sides. It was not long but a fun little trip to see the beauty of the area! There is a small gift shop and bathrooms. The gift shop has some snacks, popcorn, and of course lots of gifts. The Green line bus stops at the Aero Car so it is easy to get to even if you don't have a car (or don't want to drive ).

Metered parking by the Aerocar is free for people viewing the site.

The Aerocar experience: traveling over rough water via a cable car (from one part of the Canadian side of the river to another part of the Canadian side of the river) is OK but not amazing. The views of the turbulent water at White Water Walk are more exciting.

We were there in late October and the leaf colors were terrific. The Aerocar provided a great overview and photo opps of the colorful leafy scenery. I would recommend doing the Aerocar at this time of year - but would classify it as miss-able at other times of the year.

We didn’t want to do all the attractions so we booked this separately via niagara parks website (cad $17). It was a great experience to dangle over the turbulent river below. The guide was interesting and kept us engaged. Not a long time on it (10-15 mins maybe) but worth it for the photos. Got the green line north WEGO bus directly to it. The WEGO buss pass was included in our Marriott hotel package.

The aero car takes you over a whirlpool, a part of the river where it changes direction. It's cool to see, but I wish the ride was longer. To get from one side of the river to the other and back takes probably no more than 15 minutes.

The views were great and it checked an experience off the list. Visiting first thing in the morning and the week prior to the long weekend led to the ride not being very busy. The ride is fairly short but the Operator provides facts as you cross and then re-cross the border.
Pro tip - drive to the aero car, experience the aero car and then leave your car there for the day (free parking) to ride the WEGO bus to other attractions (excellent transit system)

We took the "WEGO" bus from Niagara Falls. Not long, However, the "WEGO" can be pretty crowded at certain times of day. Unlike what I thought, the "WEGO" is not free, but reasonable. We had the FunPass to use, but out hotel would have sold us tix. You cannot board & then pay. We waited for a bit to do on. The car goes over to the other side & then back. Enjoyed, but a lot of waiting time. There is a gift shop there from which we bought drinks (so thirsty as it was in the summer). Dierdre, our guide on the car, was great.
