It got muddy but for the most part the trail is paved or dry dirt/rocks. It’s one of my favorite trails to hike or run.

Very muddy during the rainy weather, very steep hills and rocks to climb down. Must use trees for guidance and support!

Wide asphalt trail Gorgeous views of River. Two fun swinging bridges to cross.

Im a cyclist. But the ones on this trail. Mostly the old heads are trash at their call outs and they dont yield to the pedestrians at all. Most people are excellent with their dogs but they are some dingleberries who go leashless.

Nice walk along grist mill, crossed the swinging bridge and walked over to Cascade falls. Everything is snow covered and beautiful, portions of the falls are frozen.

normally grist mill is kind of a boring since its kinda like a farm road. I prefer narrow trails but was fun with snow on trails. lots of paths to follow since its a popular trail. got difficult near cascade falls with all the ice and snow.

Nice snow covered trail along the river. Not many people today since it was cold out but I could easily see this as a busy trail on a nice warm day.

Easy paved trail. Lots of people, bikers and especially doggies. Very windy today, with lots of branches falling. Had a tree blocking the road as we were leaving.

Great hike on the first day of the year. It was strange not to see the dam. Nice views of the river.

Easy paved run surrounded by the beauty of nature. $2.00 to get in which I was happy to pay because of the excellent condition of the grounds

Really glad they reopened this trail. It had been closed for a while due to the repairs on the bridges. Paved trail alongside the Patapsco River. Quiet and peaceful stroll with a few other hikers and bikers out. Will have to come back for a trail run.

The new Grist Mill trail is nice. It was perfect for a drizzly day after a few days of rain. Full of fun surprises too! Took a quick trip up to Cascade Falls but it was a disappointing trickle.

This map doesn't reflect the closed sections of the Grist Mill trail, just FYI. It's a lovely hike, but requires some creative detouring and close attention to the trail map to make sure you don't get stuck and have to backtrack.

Grist Mill trail is closed officially

The whole park looks like a bomb went off. I know the flood damaged a great deal but that was 4 years ago. Damaged and closed trails that are still open if you walk around the small fencing they have put up. Someone is going to get hurt if they don’t fix things.
