During the meeting, Naib Tehsildar Saqib Rehan briefed ADCR Usman on the recovery process. He disclosed that the special teams had visited 32 villages of Rawalpindi and met the landowners to recover the amount paid by the government. In the meeting, ADCR Usman asked the team to work round the clock and speed up the recovery process.
It should be highlighted that the government is retrieving money paid to the landowners whose land was acquired for the Rawalpindi Ring Road’s altered route that has since been rejected for increased project cost and unfair advantage to certain housing projects.

According to the senior officer of LRD, the special teams are having difficulty in recovering the amount because the landowners have taken the money from the government but do not have land possession documents.
