This place can easily compete with the top Indian eateries in Australia! Absolutely sensational food! This review coming from an Indian, who has been eating this type of food for the last 30 years, speaks a lot about the quality of the food.
Try the Lamb Madras (my personal favourite).It perfectly blends the coconut base and South Indian spices with a delicious north indian cream based curry. The Chicken Biryani is good too, a nice blend of the right spices cooked to perfection!

Visited 12th April for dinner and it was simply delicious - the most amazing Indian I have had! Service was fast, ambience was lovely and was excellent value!

We had been told about Spice Lounge by very satisfied Launceston friends. Our visit with another couple was well worth it. A friendly staff member greeted us when we arrived. She was able to remember our orders without taking notes. The food arrived in good time. It was hearty, served with rice and naan bread. We ordered the naan bread as an extra. Main course was between $20 & $21. Dessert was also delicious.
We warmly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed delightful Punjabi food in this restaurant on the seaport. Our dishes were prawns masala, butter chicken, cumin rice, garlic naan and laccha onion. All were brought to us by a delightful server. The dishes were all quite gentle, compared with spicier offerings where we eat Indian food in the UK, but they were nonetheless very tasty. The wine that I chose to go with the meal was from a very good local vineyard - not cheap but it did complement the food. And because the dishes were not so huge and outfacing we even managed a sweet gulab jamun to finish our meal. I recommend eating here if you like Indian food.

The restaurant was popular and busy but, fortunately, we managed to get a table without a booking. I would advise making a reservation on busier nights of the week.

This was our first visit and had a great meal. Food was served ideal for the kids as requested. Food was great for the adults. Our Vindaloo was a little soft on the heat side, we probably should have emphasized our likes a bit more. Naan bread keep coming quickly as requested. Service overall was superb, never an empty glass. You may find cheaper Indian meals, but would definitely recommend.
