Kaos is a first-person shooter. It was being developed by The Millennium group from Italy in 1995 and planned to be released as a sharware game. However, the game got cancelled. 2003 or 2004 the developers released the unifinished game together with the source code as freeware. The release version comes with three levels and an editor.

Kaos is a classic FPS very similar to Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Rise of the Triad. While the levels still have a rectangular architecture like Wolfenstein, floors and ceiling are textured and you can look up and down.
A unique feature of the game is a multiplayer mode where up to three players can partake in spilt screen mode at the same computer.

While two agents bring down the head of the organization over the cause of part 2, another agent - codename: "Jay" - is tasked to go after Dread, Geldra's second in command. Dread has been spotted near an oil refinery in southern California, so Jay is sent to investigate.

Butasan (or Buta-san, roughly "Mr. Pig") is an arcade game developed by NMK and published by Jaleco. It was only released in Japan. The game also came out for C64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, MSX and Sharp X68000. The game is known as Psycho Pigs UXB in Europe.

Gameplay consists of a battle royale between a group of pigs. Each round takes place on a single screen. The screen is littered with bombs. Each bomb has a number on it. You can pick up the bombs and throw them. If a bomb hits an opponent who is standing, it will explode. If the bomb lands again without exploding, a countdown will be started, starting from the initial number displayed on the bomb. When the countdown reaches zero, the bomb explodes. It can still be picked up and thrown again while the counter is active. A thwon bomb will bounce off the edge of the screen. You can also lie on the ground to evade bombs. While you are lying down, you will only be hit by explosions very close to you.
There are various items appearing on screen, like sleeping gas which puts all opponents to sleep for a while.

Nightmare in the Dark is an arcade game developed by AM Factory and Eleven, and published by Eleven and Gavaking (in Japan) and SNK (in Europe and North America). It was only released in the arcades. While it ran on SNK's Neo Geo hardware, it was not released for the Neo Geo AES.

The story is about an unnamed gravekeeper with magical powers who lives at a very small village in a remote region. He keeps away from the village people due to his very ugly appearance. One day, he found the graves were ransacked and some bodies were stolen. In order to keep the villages from noticing, he decides to get the grave burglars all by himself. Thus, he patrols the cemetery every night.

The game is a platformer similar to Bubble Booble, Tumblepop and -especially- Snow Bros. Each level consists of a single screen with platforms and you need to defeat all enemies on screen to go to the next level. The game can be played in 2-player coop. Your character can jump and throw fire. Hitting an enemy with fire will stun him. Hitting him repeatedly with fire will cover him more and more until he is trapped in a fireball. Enemies will shake off the fire if you give them time. Toughing the fireball will make stick to your character. If you push fire, the ball will throw across the screen. The wrapped any will be defeated, as will all enemies hit by the ball. Sometimes enemies will leave behind potions which increase your speed, range or attack power, depending on the colour.

The game is a remake of the 1987 game of the same name. While the original game had a parser, the remake has point-and-lick interface. The graphics were redone in VGA and the game support sound cards and features digitized sound effects.

Sonic Wings (known as Aero Fighters in North America and Europe) is vertically scrolling shoot'em up developed and published by Video System. It also came out for SNES and Playstation 2.

There are characters four countries to choose from. Once one player chooses a country, the characters for player 1 and 2 are set for the rest of the game. There is also no character change after using a continue.
Characters from different countires have different weapons. Each fighter has a main weapon and a limited suppy of bombs. The main weapon can be upgraded up to three levels by collecting P symbols. An F symbol will give you maximum fire power immediately.

Snow Bros. - Nick & Tom (also known as Snow Bros., Snow Bros. jr. or Snow Bros. Special) is an arcade game developed by Topalan and published by Toaplan (in Japan) and Samsung (in Korea). It was originally developed for the arcades and also came out for Game Boy and NES. The Mega drive / Genesis port was only released in Japan and Korea.An Amiga port of the game was completed but ultimately not released.

Two living snowmen, Nick and Tom, need to rescue the princesses Puripuri and Puchipuchi from the clutches of a villain.

Sonic Labyrinth is an action game developed by Minato Giken and published by Sega.

The game uses an isometric perspective. In each level, you need to find three keys in each level and then go to the exit, all within a time limit. Sonic can use his spin dash. You hold down a button a select a direction to go, then Sonic will dash that way once you release the button. This is used to get around fast, defeat Badniks or smash objects. The keys are are all over the labyrinth, and you need to find your way to get to them. Sometimes a Badnik holds a key which it drops if you defeat it. If you get hit while carrying a key, you loose all keys and you need to grab them from where they fell. There are some power-up fields which give you a random power-up, like extra time, a speed up or an extra life. after three stages, there is boss fight.

Note: The emulation is somehow slow, but I could not find the cause.

Sega Sonic Cosmo Fighter (also known as Sega Sonic Cosmo Fighter Galaxy Patrol or Sega Sonic Cosmo Fight Galaxy Patrol) is a shoot'em up developed and published by Sega. It was released as a children's ride. The ride was only released in Japan and Australia.

Sonic goes to space in a space fighter in order to rescue his friends from the clutches of Dr. Robotnik / Dr. Eggman.

Sonic can move his ship to the left and right. He can accelerate for a short time, but not move across the whole screen. The ships gun configuration can be switched via a button.

Death Duel is a shoot'em up developed by Punk Development and published by Razorsoft. It was only released in North America and Australia.

In the 22nd century, the galaxy has been populated and the galaxy is divided between ten superpowers, the human Federation and nine alien powers. The other powers are blocking the Federation's flight paths, turning it unable to operate. Nitro Ball (known as Gun Ball in Japan) is a shoot'em up and run-and-gun with pinball elements developed and published by Data East. It was only released in the arcades.

The game was probably inspired by Smash TV and films like Running Man and Rollerball. Some time in the future, you take part in a violent game show to win a fortune. You need to get alive through various areas with different themes while scoring as many points as you can. You will be attacked by masses of goons and deadly machines and need to fight your way through them with your trustee machine gun.

The game is uses a top-down view, similar to Mercs. There is no auto-scrolling. Levels are vertical and divided into several sections. You have machine gun with infinite ammo, but limited range, but can find stronger weapons with limited ammo. Apart from moving and shooting, you can use a special roundhouse attack. Similar to smart bombs in other games, you need to find an extra to get one special attack.
If you shoot goons, they will roll into the direction you aimed. Each level contains elements from pinball machines, like holes, bumpers or ramps. If the goons roll into these, you get bonus points and or items. There is also an item which will transform your character into a giant pinball ball for a certain amount of time. While you are a ball, you can bump into the pinball elements yourself, and you are also invincible.

Boogie Wings, known as The Great Ragtime Show in Japan, is a shoot'em up by Data East, which was only released in the arcades.

The game has an early 20th century steampunk setting and several unusual gameplay features: being shot down does not kill you immediately, but destroys your vehicle, leaving you to walk and fight on foot. However, there are many other vehicles you can find in the levels and enter, like giant robots, cars with rocket launchers or mechanical frogs with flame throwers. There are also animals you can mount, like horses, giraffes or elephants. If you want to switch vehicles, you can also leave/unmount your current one on purpose. Your standard vehicle is a plane with grappling hook. You can use the hook the grab and release things, these include mines, enemies, vehicles and loose objects. The hook is on a chain which swings freely around your plane, so you can use any object as a flail. You can also release objects to drop them on enemies.

Spinmaster (known as Miracle Adventure in Japan) is a run-and-gun and platformer developed and published by Data East. It was also released for Neo Geo AES.

An evil doctor has kidnapped protagonists', John and Tom's, friend, Mary. He has also stolen their treasure map. John and Tom chase after him all over the world in order to rescue Mary and get back the map.

The game can be played alone or in co-op. Each character can jump, slide and use a weapon. The standard weapon is a jo-jo, but you can find plenty of other weapons in chests, like a double shuriken shot or a boxing glove. You can charge your attack for a more powerful blow, and you have a limited number of special attacks. Both the charged attack and the special attack are unique to the weapon you are using. Using other weapons than he jo-jo is not limited, but you will start again with the jo-jo if you loose a life.

The Animaniacs want to start a shop for pop cultural items. They want to collect some famous movie props to sell in the shop, so they start searching the studios for them.

Animaniacs is a puzzle-platformer where you need to make use of the special abilities of all three Animaniac siblings to make it through the levels. You control one of the three at a time, but the other two will follow you. You can always switch between the charcters. Yakko can push and pull certain things like creates, and he can use a paddle ball to stun enemies. Wakko can swing a mallet to break things, activate switches and light fuses. Dot can blow a kiss which will make some characters do things in order for you to progress.

Snake Rattle n Roll (or Snake Rattle 'n' Roll) is platformer originally developed by British company Rare for the NES. IT was ported to the Mega Drive / Genesis by rare and published by Sega. The port was only released in Europe.

The evil Footmen, led by Bigfoot, have stolen the magic flag from planet Serpentine. Two snakes, Rattle and Roll, are chosen to fight Bigfoot's minions and get back the flag.

Risky Woods is platformer, developed by Spanish companies Zeus Software and Dinamic Multimedia, and published by Electronic Arts. It was also released for Mega Drive / Genesis, Atari ST and PC.

The game seems to have been influenced by Ghost'n'Goblins, as throwing hordes of ever-spawning enemies upon you, while you try to get to the end of the level. There are also some familiar elements like throwing daggers or the world map between the levels.
Apart from boss fights, you just need to reach the end of the level. However, there are several statues in the level, blocking your way. You need to collect two pieces of a key before and use it in front of the statue.

You can find items in chests, but you need to be careful, as some items have a negative effect. One item will send you back in the level. Another one will put you to sleep. This will replenish your health, but it will also take away a good share of your time.
