All staff wearing masks. Bathrooms cleaned regularly. Only concern is that a group in shelter left and another one arrived the next morning. We did not see any park service person review or visit shelter to see if had been left clean. Also, it does not appear any sanitizing is done in shelter. I would have at least expected table to be sprayed with a disinfectant.

Facilities are horrible right now. Only 2 showers open for the whole park. Most bathrooms closed and port a potties can’t keep up. Could be a great park but lacking funding like most. Would not recommend for tent camping right now and decently not with my 3 girls.

This is a great place for camping and picnicking. The local Yacht Club is located here. It has wonderful picnic areas also. We went and looked at the views of the large lake. We had a nice drive through the park on a rainy day.

We love to come here for a peaceful get-away for a few hours. We are not campers however, there is no shortage of great campsite of all types with beautiful views. You do have to pay to get in. $5 for adults, $3 for seniors. All employees here seem to be very helpful. Great fishing from the pier or rocks. This is one of our favorite "escapes" in the area.

Camped on Armadillo Hill. Very quiet. Road make it easy to back a trailer into the campsites. Clean. A little aged, but well worth the time. Good power and water hook-ups. No sewer connections available as they are repairing their system. Dump station has a big dip on one end. Lots of scrape marks. Found a nice fishing pier. Very hot and only there for one night, but woll definitely go back

Nice day trip activity from DFW. We didn’t camp overnight. Spent the day outdoors hiking the trails. There is ample parking, bathrooms, and picnic tables. There is a cave and rocks to climb around the beach area, and several scenic views of the lake from the trails.

Friends and I took a nice camping trip here for a weekend of fishing and taking it easy free of wives and children. The spot we got was the best in the park overlooking the beautiful lake on 3 sides. Started out very enjoyable until we were approached by the state park police officer McDouche. I thought it was going to be kept cordial and all since we were a very non-threatening bunch of 5-6 married guys in their 30's, until he explained to us the park rules and told us to pour out our beers that we had in coozies as this was considered "illegal" in the state park. He said the only legal place to drink in the park would be our "right to privacy" within our tents, but insinuated that if it were in cups he would not look in them. I thought, ok, fine, follow the rules, no problem. Upon his departure he asked us what that smell was and insinuated that he smelt marijuana and began walking around our camping area. Granted, we had just arrived within the hour and had not even put our tents up, nor did we have any idea what he was even talking about? Needless to say it was a very unwelcome feeling but we moved on and enjoyed our evening until the same officer decided to sneak back up on us around 10:30pm that evening after having parked down the road. The crowd across the street was extremely loud and making lots of racket, yet we were immediately ordered to turn off our small radio (which I couldn't hear from my tent nearby), and he began chastising us again about the park rules again and wrote 2 of my friends $150 citations for having beers in coozies at nightime around a campfire. I understand the rules and that's fine, but he asked my friends to "step back from me" multiple times. Also stated for him to move to his other side "away from my weapon". I explained to the officer that we were "No threat" but he said he had kids and needed to take every precaution. Under the circumstances it seemed highly unusual. He asked if any us had been in the military (which we hadn't), so I feel this only fueled his desire to ruin some civilians idea of a good time. He asked his employer's name while writing the citation, for which my friend said he wasn't comfortable giving, and the officer said "That's fine, we'll get it" and "You'll have to talk to the judge." After spending good money for staying this park to enjoy a weekend getaway with friends, we all decided that we would not feel welcome in this park another night since our first was so terrible, so we went across the damn to stay at a relatives place and were able to enjoy the park from the Oklahoma side harassment free. My advice, there's plenty of other parks around this enormous lake to enjoy as you wish without feeling like a teenager being ridiculed by a power-tripping state park police officer. Never again!

My wife and I spent a day recently at Eisenhower State Park and we quite enjoyed ourselves. We were pulling our Casita, so we stayed in an RV campground, which was quite nice. We had water, electricity and a sewer hookup. The sites were very comfortably spaced and quite pleasant. We had a view of the lake from our site, although that view won't be there in a couple of months when the trees get leaves. We drove through a couple of the campgrounds for tent camping and they were quite nice, with many sites having nice views of the lake.

Lake Texoma is the main attraction at the park. There are good boat ramps if you bring a boat. In the summer there is a swimming beach that's small but nice; in mid-February it was deserted. We didn't get out on the water, but we enjoyed the vistas from hiking paths or the shore. Seem to be plenty of day-use opportunities, too — picnic tables overlooking the lake, trails, and lots of fishing.

The folks in the office were pleasant and helpful.

I wish we'd had more than a day to spend there, but we enjoyed the time we had. I want a state park to be clean, attractive, and peaceful, and Eisenhower fit the bill quite well.

We took our kids (aged 3 and 5) on their first camping trip to the screened shelters this past weekend. We stayed in Shelter 21, only because we wanted to be close to the bathrooms and the playground (swings only) for the kids. No direct view, but we had a trail right behind the shelter that went all the way down to a great secluded rocky beach.
The shelter was about 12x15', had one light bulb and one electrical outlet inside and one outside. Water spigot outside too. Perfect for first-time "campers" like us. We had plenty of room for the kids' cots, our king sized air mattress, and the picnic table (which can be moved outside). The shelter itself was clean, as were the bathrooms (rangers were seen cleaning the bathrooms multiple times all weekend). Very satisfied with our stay, especially when we were covered during the rain. Can't wait to go back!

The campsites were close together and perfect for groups who rent 2 or 3 spots and want to be able to allow kids to roam freely between them. Extended families or scout groups would love this. Obviously a popular park as the park was very busy. The fire rings were too close to the road and not set back far enough so there really was no way to gain privacy in your campsite. The overflow camping area seemed to have more space between the spots and less people there so may be a better option for people seeking privacy. In the premium spots I would chose 176 or 177, all the rest really didn't have a good view and again were too close together. (176 and 177 at least had a good view)

There was plenty to do between the trails and the water area. There were a lot of picnic area and a lot of boaters.

We took several trails which were very nice. Not too rugged but very scenic and plenty of opportunity to take minor trails off to more challenging areas.

We really didn't spot any wildlife except for a turtle and some turkey vultures, but with all those people I wouldn't expect to see a lot of animals.

Heavily staffed, but they were so busy so they weren't very friendly.
