When Calls the Heart is finally set to return on Sunday, April 7th with 12 all-new episodes
Season 11 of the Hallmark Channel series will premiere Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c.
The 12-episode season follows the shocking end to season 10, in which Elizabeth broke off her engagement to Lucas amid her developing feelings for Nathan. As if that wasn't enough drama, the season finale revealed that Lucas, fresh off being elected governor, was in danger, as an unknown figure approached him.
The upcoming season, which will explore renewal and redemption, will follow Elizabeth as she gets a fresh start, complete with romance, challenges and new style. Elizabeth and Nathan's storyline will continue, as they'll navigate their growing romantic feelings while also leaning on each other amid parenting obstacles.
Elsewhere, Lucas must confront his past in order to lead Hope Valley into the future, while Bill and Rosemary team up to unravel a mystery putting their entire community at risk.
"Time has flown by since the end of season 10 and I cannot put into words how thrilled I am for the premiere of season 11 of When Calls the Heart," Erin, who also executive produces the series, says. When Calls the Heart season 10 Poster Debut
Catch a first look at the all-new poster for Season 10 of the beloved Hallmark Channel series, “When Calls the Heart.” The art features a close-up profile of star Erin Krakow with the church and beautiful Hope Valley landscape in the background.
Already renewed for an 11th season, Erin expressed excitement over continuing the stories of Elizabeth Thornton and the townspeople of Hope Valley.
"I am beyond excited for season 10 of When Calls the Heart to premiere July 30,” Erin, who is also an executive producer, said in a statement in February. “This season is full of beautiful moments and exciting twists and turns. I can’t wait for the Hearties to see what we’ve created for them! And I’m so thrilled, proud and grateful to Hallmark that the show has been renewed for season 11. "I hope the Hearties are feeling as excited as we are to dive into these long-anticipated events. But it was important to let Elizabeth take her time with Lucas and for Rosemary and Lee to become contented with their lives together before the baby surprise," Executive producer Elizabeth Stewart said in May, following the season 9 finale, adding that the writers hoped they "earned" Lucas' proposal.
"Elizabeth is in a different place than she was with Jack," she noted. "The experiences of widowhood and motherhood have deepened her. I don’t think she needs or even desires to be swept off her feet in quite that once-in-a-lifetime way she was with Jack. Including Little Jack in the proposal is a signal that her top priority now is as a mother."

When Calls the Heart to Renewed for Season 10
Hallmark Channel has renewed the network’s original, primetime drama series “When Calls the Heart” for a tenth season.
