I really enjoyed this movie. It had a lot of realistic scenes. Most parts were funny and slap stick. Several couples navigate through pregnancy whether planned or not. This movie is very relationship focused. Every one ties in well. It was fun to see so many stars playing parts we can all relate to. Chris Rock was good here. I believe even people who don't have kids would like this movie. It does have cursing and some sexual talk and some yuck talk at times but most of it is just people being human. Not a kid oriented movie. Enjoy!!

I have had many pregnant friends, and what made me laugh the most is that this movie captures essentially all types of pregnant women very well.

The sporty pregnant woman that does yoga, water pilates, and still finds time to work a full-time job.
The pregnant woman that has all problems possible with her pregnancy. Smelly gas, heartburn, morning sickness, fatigue.
The pregnant woman that makes pregnancy look simple because she is so glamorous the entire time.
The woman that couldn't have children so she adopts.
And the teenage couple.

Without revealing any of the plot, Elizabeth Banks character is by far my favorite. She is hilarious in every scene she's in. Also, the dad group definitely brings some masculine energy into the scene. Chris Rock never ceases to amuse me.

I don't have a single maternal bone in my body so I didn't think I would enjoy this movie as much as I did, because it just wasn't relatable to my single and childless life, BUT I fully enjoyed every part of it. I think the men of the world will enjoy this movie, too.

Expect nothing because then you will be pleasantly surprised. 3.8 stars. The reason I docked points is because when movies have a surplus of characters that they jump around to, it's hard to care about them as much. And the story line becomes slightly chaotic. Like 'Valentines Day', that movie sucked. But this one did much better than that movie switching stories yet linking all the people, as well as making you care about them- at least to a degree. Heck, I must have cared because I even had a few tears at a couple parts. There were a few lol moments. Like when the daddies come on screen to 'bad a' music with their strollers and expressions. Bahahaha I laughed so hard. Other than that it was entertaining but I would not own the DVD. $3.99 was too much to rent as it was. But watch it if you are bored and looking for some entertainment.

***May contain vague spoilers*** If you have had any experience with babies, or are close to someone that have, you will appreciate the humor. Also, they did a good job at showing different baby experiences. Kudos for that. They have the mom with the crappy experience (which I could better relate to, as I was puking for the entire pregnancy but even she had it easy in my eyes:) Then there was the race car drivers young wife who felt awesome during the pregnancy and literally sneezed the baby out. It's funny but true, that some people are lucky enough to have it that easy. They touched on symptoms of pregnancy, a c-section, miscarriage, and a heart felt adoption scene. Overall enjoyable if you aren't 'EXPECTING' a phenomenal movie.

This is a chick flick and guy flick movie all in one. It have the complexity of various stories that cover all possible types of relationships and parenting issues, even for those who cannot have children. Its not for the simple minded and it more than just a funny chick flick, its a well rounded movie with all the sentiment that having children or supporting women having children should have. Enjoy!

I watch this movie every couple of months, when I get baby fever. It's hilarious and touching all at once, and covers most of what to expect when you're expecting. It deals with unmet expectations, infertility, adoption, pregnancy loss, comparing pregnancies, and the effect having a baby has on relationships. The only thing it didn't have that I wish it did was a home birth.
The "Dudes Group" of dads who walk with their babies in the park on Saturdays may not be very realistic, but it's a good attempt at showing the fathers' experiences in a movie full of pregnant women.
