A peek at Liam Hemsworth’s Australian home base after Miley Cyrus split

Liam Hemsworth has been healing his wounds with the salt waters of Byron Bay, Australia.

The “Hunger Games” star has been spotted on the shores of the beach town, where his older brother Chris Hemsworth lives, ever since he and estranged wife, Miley Cyrus, confirmed their split on Aug. 10.

Liam, 29, filed for divorce Wednesday, and there is speculation that he may be making Byron Bay his permanent home after having moved to Los Angeles 10 years ago to pursue his acting career.

A source even told Australian magazine Woman’s Day that Liam’s parents “would love to see him settle down with someone who’s more on the same page as him — an Aussie who loves the ocean.”

Perhaps he’ll find his next romantic partner in Byron Bay — though the dating pool isn’t quite as large as Los Angeles’. According to the 2016 Australian Census, there are only about 9,246 people living in the coastal town, which is located 480 miles north of Sydney.

The majority of the population is between 25 to 29 years old — which sounds about right for Liam’s next date.

The Hemsworth brothers have repeatedly been photographed there surfing — a popular activity in Byron Bay, along with scuba diving, kayaking and canoeing, as this tourism video shows.

In 2014, Chris and wife, Elsa Pataky, decided to make Byron Bay home, according to RealEstate.com.au. The “Thor” star and the model-actress purchased a $20 million mansion where they live with their kids: India Rose, 7, and 5-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha.

Just two days after the Liam-Miley separation news broke, Liam was seen with his brother at a local yogurt shop in town. According to TripAdvisor, some of the best shopping takes place at the farmers’ market or beachside markets.

The guys grew up on Phillip Island, a small Australian island southeast of Melbourne. It is located more than 1,100 miles south of Byron Bay.

A rep for Liam did not immediately respond to requests for comment about whether he plans to move back to Australia for good.

Miley, meanwhile, has been gallivanting around Italy and Los Angeles with her new love interest, blogger Kaitlynn Carter.
