Wrote a review a few months ago which was much worse. This time it helped I knew what to expect. First and foremost, the parking situation continues to be completely unfair to guests. When you enter the self park garage, the rate is posted. Lets say its $25. That does not matter at all. What matters is when you leave. Since the parking rates change by time of day, and day of the week, you do not know your parking rate until you leave the casino. I am still dumbfounded they find it ok to do this. However, I knew this coming up there and checked in advance to make sure we had parking in our players card.... which we did. Without it, I am not sure we would come.
What out us over the top coming up on this trip was na offer for free show tickets. We absolutely loved the Terry Fator show. Stayed at the casino resort for 2 nights. I really liked the new sports bar. Deli is disappointing. Without a reservation, you won't be able to eat at ponte vecchio. I had the noodle bar late at night and it was good as always. Took my daughter to swim at the pool both days and she had a great time. However, you have to bring towels down from your room which are already placed in the hotels rooms. They have no towels at the pool.
One of my biggest issues with the casino gaming offerings is that they no longer have the poker room (been gone a few years), and more importantly, there is now one dice game but it is electronic and uses no chips. People clearly do not like playing electronic craps. The table limit is $5 and the table was empty or near empty each day I came. I absolutely love to play craps but will not play the electronic version. This was clearly nothing more than a way for the casino to pay for less dealer staff as the electronic craps only needs one dealer, as opposed to normally needing 3 dealers. Last, I played a total of about 3-4 hours of poker and about 2 hours of pai gow. For my play I earned $1 in comps. This is not acceptable.
We plan to make a visit back in the summer with our family but I am not sure I will play much more than what I played on this trip.

I went here to see Leno who did a show at Caesars before Christmas and it was great. He was amazing. Very funny show. The venue is ok, but I worked out well. I don’t gamble so I just had a milkshake at the Johnny Rockets. That was pretty good. Overall it was a fun time and I will say that staff and security on site were friendly and helpful. It was a nice experience.

Was here in February and mainly played at Fallsview a much better casino even though operated by the same management.

You can see they have been making some great changes to the gaming floor it lacks curb appeal. It's not a place that feels inviting. The entrance off of Falls Ave is so outdated and not inviting by any means. The other entrance is outdated as well with no wow factor outside or inside feels like you're entering a dead mall from Falls Ave and they have the entrance and exit all to one side. It just feels not right and mismatched. Years ago when they had the waterfalls was awesome. I remember when you had to line up to get in when were busy depending on your tier level. and dress codes were a thing. Kinda miss the dress code.

Why have a place if not going to maintain it? Bring back the waterfalls! with the low RTP most machines set on surly, the casino can afford to put some effort into its appearance. Even the tower...come on update the sign and tower with new lights something to make it stand out something that will make you want to visit but nope that doesn't seem to happen in Ontario one is more concerned with filling their pockets rather than giving something out.

This place lacks food choices and affordable food choices.

Fingers cross they start investing in the outside and inside appearance to give more of a wow factor. Something that can make it stand out. I know there is a flow regardless because of tourists but for locals to keep coming back rather than going across to Seneca more needs done.

My husband and I love going to concerts at Rama and staying over in the hotel. The concerts have been great and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, especially love the fireplace. Our only complaint is the food - the restaurants are extremely expensive and the lower priced places like the Cedar Lounge and the Fire Starter Lounge serve horrible and expensive sandwiches. I think I'll skip eating there from now on, starving is better.

Used to be way better when the sports lounge served finger foods, poutine, etc

The casino is okay but the choice of food and drink are pretty bad. The outside grounds are unbelievably dirty with cigarette butts everywhere. I would expect more care to be taken. It nice that there is no smoking inside but clean up your property. I probably would not go back

We had a complimentary rm which was appreciated.
The gentleman who gave us early check in wasn't sure if the rm was pet free as I was allergic. He offered to change it if we observed pet odor.
We had a King rm, but don't expect to get the one on "You Tube" review which he had upgraded to a suite. We were on first floor so it was noisy as the access to Casino was down the hall. People were walking by rm outside. We faced a building so no view.
    Unfortunately, we found the following.
Very uncomfortable bed that squeaked when u moved.
Very poor lighting in rm at night. Window screen in need of repair, the tub was extremely high so if u r a senior with limitations, u definitely need to mention same.
No tea or coffee in rm. No dresser, just cube style cabinet. Access to Casino was outside. Poor lighting at access to Casino at night.
Restaurant a bit pricey. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
Overall we appreciated the complimentary rm and slots weren't busy with a fair variety of games.
    We enjoyed Port Perry.

I've been attending the races at Fort Erie since my parents first brought me here almost 50 years ago. We returned recently for Prince of Wales Day and it wonderful to see the large crowd and the track itself still standing after all these years. Fort Erie was always a special place to attend the races for so many reasons. In my opinion it could have/should have been the Saratoga of Canada, but the province of Ontario and the Ontario Jockey Club never let this happen. That is why my recent visit was both happy and sad.

To begin it is one of the prettiest tracks that you will ever visit. The infield and paddock areas are still beautiful and remind you of past years when the finest thoroughbreds in Canada raced here on a consistent basis. There's also plenty of free parking, free admission, and the ability to wager in both Canadian and U.S. currency. The grandstand has been reduced to a fraction of it's former self, but there are still many good seats to watch the races from that extend throughout the entire stretch. Also, Fort Erie's location is a big plus because it's right across the border from Buffalo, New York, a half hour drive from Niagara Falls, and only a two hour drive from metro Toronto.

I would have loved to given 'The Fort' a five-star review, but some things still remain that stopped me from doing this. First, the daily changes (scratches) need to be posted much earlier in the day than they presently are. Second, the number of gate scratches at FE are among the highest I have ever seen. Seven horse fields suddenly become five horse races and with that your odds fall apart. I'm not sure how the commission vets handle things in Ontario, but what would help is morning inspections of all the horses slated to run that day. If a horse needs to be scratched do it at that time and post the change. A gate scratch should only occur if a horse has broken away during the post parade or broke thru the gate during the loading process.

Aside from this, Fort Erie is lovely and historic track that should be far more prominent in Canadian thoroughbred racing than it presently is. But, at least it's still around and for that I'm thankful. It's definitely worth a visit and I'll always have a special place in my heart for this track.

I want to give the club (The Joint) a 5 star review because of their taste in music. The Trews blew the roof off.

However the place was packed- and only two bartenders working. It took 45 mins to get a drink. (The gentleman beside me had been waiting an hour). It was a really great concert, but I was thirsty the whole time.

It was awful ! Way too long in line. 1 cashier ! Vegs not cooked. Beef overcooked. Only about 10 items to chose from. 2 soups and not a lot of dessert. NOT worth even $14..don't waste your time..go to Uncle Bobs

Popped into Ajax Downs to grab dinner and donate a few dollars to the casino. Dinner was excellent and as a Winners Circle member you get an extra $2 off an already special priced meal.

As for the casino. It was a bit disorganized. I wanted to just try some .25 slots but they were scattered all over, hard to find. However one of the floor staff did direct us to an area with some machines. I made my donation and we took off.

Noticed they offer a Breakfast Buffet on Saturdays for $2.99 (Winners Circle members) Thinking we may have to go check that out too.

Enjoyed the short time we were there and will return.

Grandriver Raceway. Friday evening is a lot of fun. The Raceway works hard to include the public via games before some races.

This is a no frills hotel that has very comfortable rooms appointed with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, ironing board and iron. There are toiletries and hairdryer in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was nice and staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the design of the hotel with back doors for easy access to your car meant that it was also easy for some residents to conduct "transactions" all night which involved constant knocking and loud altercations right outside the door when the "clients" were unhappy which seriously marred our ability to sleep. The next night there was a loud and raucous party on one of the outside picnic tables which continued until 1:30 am with no attempt by staff to curtail. While the hotel itself was well appointed, the overall experience was unpleasant and not conducive to sleep and I would not recommend for a family-friendly experience.
