The Horseshoe has not come through the pandemic well. Last weekend's visit was quite a step down for the once regal hotel/casino. First, the rooms show their age with stained carpet and furniture, and loose tiles in bath(room 1518). Still no in room coffee, no valet parking, which is a problem for a gimpy senior who does not like having to drag in and out of parking structure alone. And the restaurants are closed or reduced hours. But, at least they have started some room service now.

The Casino is understaffed with not enough tables open. Blackjack has morphed into continuous shuffling machines all at 6 to 5 odds on BJ tables. This a sure losing proposition and is driving players across the river to ElDorado for 3 to 2 tables of hand shuffle games and shoe games. The 2 casinos are linked now, so your money all goes into same pocket. It is just inconvenient to have to cross back and forth.

Staff tries hard, as always, to make you happy gamblers, but comps are gone, $10 tables are gone, dining choice is gone. Slots remain varied and many.

I do hope this resort will recover as the pandemic closes and is able to reinvent itself to the class place it used to be. I have always been a fan and still wish them well.

This is a horrible casino now days. They do not have enough blackjack tables open since I never could find an acceptable table to play. The service at the cashier cage was horribly slow and confusing with very rude workers. They do require masks but most of the customers there do not know how to wear them properly which the casino does not enforce. Also if smoking of course they do not wear one at all which defeats the whole purpose. So not only is the casino still horribly smoky the dealers are rather rude for the most part.So the masks might help a little from catching covid but one could still die later on from second hand smoke!Overall this casino was a very bad experience and should be avoided at all cost!

this place was by far the best casino in the bossier area, but has changed to nothing but a complete money grab, the customer service is none, they could care less about the individual player and more about there bottoms line dollar. they made me leave the casino due to the fact i disagreed with a pit boss, i did not use foul language, did not disrespect anyone, i had multiple players at the tables agree with me that i didn’t say or do anything wrong. as they security guy and the pitt boss were trying to explain to me that i was saying inappropriate things were constantly allowing racial comments to be slurred and yelled throughout the casino and on the floor and they refused to do anything about it. as an as i’d gambler the customer service here is the worst that i’ve ever seen, i highly reccomend avoiding this place at all cost.

I will NEVER step foot back in this hotel/casino after what I witnessed last night. The customer service is terrible! The pit boss (Dexter) and dealer (Jo) were extremely rude to a man who was playing ALOT of money. They cheated him out of a win (about $1700) and when he asked for the cameras to be reviewed he was called a a$shole by the dealer Jo and the pit boss Dexter then had a supervisor (Chris) escort the man out. Then the supervisor (Chris) proceeded to tell the man that he must of thought he was better then them because he is white! This place is a joke and I hope he sues then for racial discrimination. The manger never came speak to the man except to tell him he had to leave the building. I will never stay here again.

The Horseshoe has always been the best for treating customers well- up until last night. Upon inquiring about ordering a drink, the waitress said "Yep, you have to get it thru me," and walked off. Then, I go to the bar (3rd floor) and put my Diamond Plus card in a machine w/$20 to play- when the bartender says "Let me see your card." So I take it out of the machine to show him. He informs me that the only way to get a drink there is to be a 7 Star member, Plus, you can't even sit in there unless you are a member! My opinion of that place went from 5 Star to 1. Not that anyone cares or will do anything about it, but I can tell you it is sad and depressing to go there now. Escilators/ elevators are out of order, no buffet, and the other food is way overpriced. Part of the casino is roped off, and it is every man for himself.

First let me start by saying that the room was clean or at least looked clean. I chose this hotel because I knew it had a restaurant in it. Therefor I wouldn't have to leave to find something to eat. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the rate of about $60.00 per night. That was misleading, by the time they add all the frees it was over a $100. Still not bad, but misleading. Since I was by myself I ate at in the bar. The staff was nice enough, but was more interested in visiting with each other, than waiting on customers. It took nearly as long to pay as it did to order and eat.
The next morning I wake up to find no coffee pot in the room. Then I go down stairs to find there is no coffee in the lobby. None of the restaurants were open at 6am. So I decided I'll just try room service. My stay was Tuesday night. Breakfast room service is only available Friday Saturday and Sunday. Maybe a good place to stay if all you're interested in is the casino. I didn't have time this trip to visit the casino so, I can't give feedback on it All the reasons I chose to stay here turns out to be the very reasons I will not choose to stay here again.

While in Bossier city we stopped at Horseshoe for a few hours to checkout the casino. We went straight to the rewards center and asked for information on the casino. There are 3 floors for gambling. We mainly stayed in the second floor. Some of the machines were tight but I was able to have a little bit of luck on 2 different ones. At first it was hard to get a drink. Only 1 waitress on the floor, but once I ordered she would look for me to see if I needed anything.

Check in was good. Room was not real clean bathtub had dirt and hair in it. The buffet removed. room service weekend only breakfast only. Noticed a vast amount of $0.25 slot machines that used to be higher denominations. Wait Staffing bar service was okay during non-populated times. This place is definitely went to decline. I think the pandemic has something to do with it but think with Oklahoma casinos being 60 to 100 miles away from most Dallas people has been their demise. Even if they have to pay 50 cents a hand and pay for their drinks less costly and time-consuming they're driving 3 hours each way from DFW area

Very understaffed. 1 or 2 servers for 3 floors and escalators haven’t worked in 2 months. When spending this much playing (diamond plus) and driving 5 hours to get here it is lack luster. Comps are almost non existent playing slots and few food outlets are pricey for 2 3 meals a day. Free rooms really not free.

Went here Friday night 7-31-20 while staying at the Courtyard having a few days off work. Played slots on the second and third floors. Casino is small and smoky. Required to wear a mask but allowed the lower your mask to drink or smoke. Totally ridiculous to require a mask but allow to lower it to drink/ smoke. People constantly touching their mask then touching the machines over and over again. Either close down if there really is a concern or don't allow smoking and drinking. Of course, no drinks or smoke and nobody would come, so it's money over peoples health. Poor selection of slots, smoky, dirty and stinky little casino. I would never plan a trip to Shreveport to gamble, been to several of the other casinos here over the years. Go to Vegas or Lake Charles.
