Blackest Night omnibus or dc essential?
The omnibus is just so expensive.
Depends. Are you reading Green Lantern or do you thinknyou might read the Johns GL run? If so go for the omnibus. If you just want to read the event get the essential. It's a great event and reading it as part of GL will really enhance it, the whole Green Lantern story is one big buildup to Blackest Night but if money is an issue then the essential will cover the most basic aspects of the story.
Yeah I was thinking I didn’t need 1600 pages. But individual vols from the omnibus look good. Like sinestro war
Can you recommend some other collections aside from the omnibus to go with the essential copy?
If you want a more complete Blackest Night then pickup up the Blackest Night Green Lantern and Blackest Night Green Lantern Corps books. You'll have to find a reading order online and flip between the 3 books to read them together. As for other Green Lantern books that lead into Blackest Night start from the beginning with Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Book One.
Thank you.
