I made the jump from a Fitbit to Apple Watch. I had worn Fitbits for years. Here is a comparison.
1. Apple Watch was very easy to set up.
2. I like the sleep tracking better on the Fitbit. It shows time spent in deep sleep, and the Apple is not that granular.
3. The options for the display on the Apple are better. More ways to display data and customize.
4. The Fitbit was less expensive, but they only seem to last about 2.5 years before I have problems. My daughter had her first Apple Watch for 8 years without issues. If that is my experience, I will save money. Time will tell.
5. The Apple Watch battery only lasts about 1.5 days. And it always seems to notify me that I’m at 10% when I’m not near my charger.
6. The Apple Watch doesn’t come with everything you need to charge it. You have to have a block that will accommodate a USB-C cable. I also needed to purchase an adapter for my car, as my car only has a plain USB port.
7. This is not the Watch you need if you are a long distance hiker. If you are going to be in the backcountry for two days, you will need to take a power bank to charge it.

I use this watch for work, being a technician I am always on the go. I love being able to answer calls and talk to text. I can honestly tell you that the speakerphone and mic are fully functional so it is no problem to carry out a conversation without switching to your phone. The screen is beautiful and the widgets are interactive and customizable. I ended up buying a Unicorn Beetle watch band, as I don't trust the band provided. I don't think it's fair to give the product 1 star because of the absent charging block. C'mon people.
Battery life seems good, haven't had it long enough to give a proper opinion on it though.
Overall, i would definitely recommend this watch. I couldn't justify paying another $120 for a series 7.
