Look for a serial number on the back of the crown. Then go here.

This is the way ☝️

That’s a pike, but an older model (A2 chassis). Solo air, likely non-boost. https://www.sram.com/en/service/models/fs-pike-rc-a2
I thought so too, is non-boost a big issue? to be really fair i do not quite know what it means/does.
Not unless you plan on buying new wheels. Boost was supposed to promise stiffer wheels by increasing the width of the hub (and therefore the axle too) by 1cm. In reality it was just industry hype to try and get us to buy new stuff but the standard stuck, so modern hubs are now 110mm wide instead of 100mm. If you’re bothered, when it comes to buying new wheels get DT Swiss or Hope and you can swap the end caps.
Only scenario where id buy new wheels is if id put a 29er fork on to make it a mullet so that will be okay then
Physically the concept of boost is proven to be correct. The angle of spokes towards the rim get flatter through the wider hub. That is what creates more stiffness. So it s not just hype (like electric dropper post or gear) but improved riding.
I’m sure it’s been proven in the lab, but in the real world I doubt that anyone this side of Loic Bruni or Nino Schurter would notice the difference.
I'm looking at a 2017 Pike on my Knolly Warden right now. Looks exactly the same. Raised area on front of lowers, red knob bottom of starboard lower, arch brace looks identical.
How do you like that fork? Any big (dis)advantages?
It's always been fine. Basically does it's job, Fox Factory 36's on my two other mt bikes and they are definitely much plusher. My pike is a dual travel, which is a nice, albeit rarely used, feature that drops the front 30mm for long climbs.
It’s not a pike
Why do you think so? It seems like a pike rc a2 but i might be wrong.
If I can ask, how can you tell from that picture?
Looks like a revelation or a recon to me. The big giveaway is the widened area on the fork lowers for the internal bushings
looks like a Yari to me
i think it seems to be the pike rc a2 actually, pls correvt me if i am wrong though
could be like the one lad said make sure you check the serial number.
if it is the Pike it'll have "pike" across the top of the center brace so that's another way to check.
