Online dating is very difficult. This site was easy to navigate and FREE. Dont believe in paying for a date, and find that the men are all about the same no matter what site you're on. Unfortunately I have given up on this, through no fault of the site, just a personal preference.
Frustrating site because although it's free, when they email you a potential match's profile name, you need to upgrade your account to see that person's profile. So the only thing I can do is not respond to someone who thinks I am a good match, but wait until someone actually sends me a real message. A lot of guys don't do that. Also, I think the site has a lot of imposters on it. Or, there are many guys who think they are Shakespeare. (Or can't write or spell at all!!)

POF is a good dating site. It is free to join and there are many members. I have talked to a lot of guys on the site. You are given a lot of info about members in their profiles and can post photos as well. They do a good job with safety and security too.
This is one of the best free sites that I have seen. I did meet someone on there, and we dated for about 6 months, but it didn't work out. I have been on other dates from people I met on the site, but still haven't found the right person. I feel it is a very safe site, and easy to use. I would recommend it.
I've used POF for a number of years and it's great that you get a lot of features for free but I've had my profile hacked and I get a lot of phony winks from phony ads. They claim to be my age, (late 50's) but look 20ish, they also have their cell phone text number superimposed over their photo and are never on the site for more than a week before they pull their ad.
I set up a dating profile. I post a few pictures. Get a few messages. Then, BOOM! My account has been deleted due to a policy violation! You are not told nor showed anything of how you "Violated". It just keep happening. However, I set up another profile, posted a few pic of a woman of a different color. Responded to messages in the same manner as I did on my original profile that was removed. The profile of the woman of a different color than me is still up! I actually said a few things that I know will get my account removed....And nothing happened. It's still up. The profile of the ** lady was removed. While my profile of the ** lady is still up! It for some reason did not go against any policies. Wow!

First of all I’m in the suburbs of Philadelphia and apparently they have people all over the place. I search that I want local not Washington, New York...etc.. The pictures of the men are either a blank picture or one that they put on when they’re a kid. Lol. Then there’s the picture of their dog, omg! I’m not interested in the first photo of your dog! It’s very discouraging and I’m new to this online dating site. I do get a lot of laughs because many lie about their age. One guy was dressed as a woman, lipstick, earrings...etc.. Then he had a regular picture of him as a "@regular" guy. It’s scary and I’m not even sure if I’d meet up with anyone. POF needs to do a little bit of background on here!
I am constantly offered dates that smoke when I’ve stated absolutely no smokers. Several of the dates being offered are much older than my mother!! Like I said, an absolute waste of money!! Choose another site!!
I paid 38.99 on Christmas day. Everything appeared to be going ok until a few day after Christmas on Sunday December 27, 2021 I couldn't log into my account. Someone took my phone number and switched it out with theirs and took over my account. POF doesn't want to reimburse me for the money even though I only got to use their services barely 24 hours. They need to be investigated and anyone else who had someone hack their account. I am willing to go in on full class action lawsuit. On top of that the credit card I have on file is being charged and the purchases are being declined because I closed out that card and had to get another one. I am expected to pay for some crooks purchases? Give me a break!!!!
This site does not want you to meet someone. They delete messages and views at one end. They add likes you have not liked yourself. You are left wondering why all these people haven’t read your mail. Disgrace.
