My husband and I have been a regular Player since 1990 and this casino is one of the worst casino we've regularly visits. Smoking is so bad, cigarettes ashes in most slots machines, cockroaches in the carpets near slot machines, better to wear socks and long pants and sweaters when you go play, bathrooms are stinky, dirty, and toilet seats old and old scratched and marks, recycled carpets are used all the time just to say they replaced their carpet and it's brand new. But it wasn't brand new at all. The worst part is why would you keep coming back to this casino, if you have been a regular player and you barely win. My 1st & last biggest winning here is $1000 in the slot machine because I was playing $8.80 per bet. I'm a high roller & my losses here was more than $30k in a year. But never won a thing! Dealers, crews & manager and directors, knew me very much! But never won big money or once in awhile break even when I go home. But most of the time loss! One Dealer advised me to just go other casino places than keep coming back here mostly losses! The only reason I keep coming back is thinking maybe it will change & hoping for a good luck just like every player thinks and convenient for me because I take free shuttle bus to get to casino. I am more lucky in other casinos but the drive is very far. So, this are the points that I just want all players to know if you guys want to visit or go casino in Horseshoe Hammond Indiana. Be prepared to loose all the time! Good luck! Stay safe, wear better clothing to cover your entire body with viruses. Thanks!

It was nice to pop in for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon as it's so close to Chicagoland.
Only problem encountered was valet parking was temporarily closed, but opened a few minutes after we arrived. Maybe they should have a bit more extra staff when world series of poker events are happening there.
But wide variety of games and not overly crowded so it was a good time. Started out with a win and after several hours left down only $100 feels almost like a win. Almost. Ha.

This venue is very spacious with a large variety of slots and table games. It has a nonsmoking area but it's well ventilated enough so the smoke doesn't bother you. Their buffet is one of the best of all the Chicagoland casinos. They also have a bar/lounge right in the middle of the casino for those who accompany gamblers. Plenty of change machines are conveniently located throughout the property. Their Venue provides topnotch entertainment.

Very nice casino with awesome views of Chicago from the Buffet. You have to try Jack Binion's Steakhouse, it's incredible. The gaming floor is better than average and the Main Bar by the entrance has great personnel! It's a good place to visit for some food and entertainment. My only real disappointment is that the Cash Machines charge truly UNREASONABLE fees. Get your cash before you go!!!

We wanted to get away for a few hours and the Horseshoe always is one of our favorite options. We don't smoke and that has always been a concern going to a casino in a state that allows smoking, but we've found the Horseshoe to be pretty reasonable for a non-smoker. There are always areas we can find that aren't too smokey for us to gamble. Lots of options for gambling and very friendly staff.

In order to attend any show or concert at The Venue (which is located in Horseshoe Casino in Hammond), you have to walk through the entire smoke-filled, horrible-smelling casino. This is the second time I’ve been here for a concert and I now remember how awful getting to the show can be. THEN, as a massive audience exits, you would think they would have some sort of plan for leaving the parking garage—instead it’s complete chaos. Either the parking garage needs a new design or they need people directing traffic. I sat in my car for over an hour last night trying to leave the parking garage.

I love the Horseshoe in Hammond! I pretty much love all the Caesar's/Harrah's properties I've been to, but this place is special! I haven't been for a while due to COVID-19 and was reluctant to come because I was scared of being indoors with so many people and also because the poker room isn't open during the pandemic, but am I glad I made the trip!! They have a bunch of new slots and the action was fantastic!! I even hit a jackpot. I've had such a great time, I have been back a few times since Christmas.
They aren't allowing smoking on the casino floor, which I know will appeal to a lot of people. I do smoke, but didn't find it to be a problem as there are designated smoking areas. Even though I smoke, I have to say, it did make it seem healthier without all the smoke.
Also, the screening process as you go in and the fact that everyone is wearing their masks (and there are plenty of employees on the floor making sure everyone is safe) really made me feel at ease. I probably felt safer here than at most gas stations, retail stores or other public places where wearing the mask is not enforced.
But the main thing is the games!! The excitement is still here and all the new games are fantastic. The promotions are great for being part of their rewards club and there's no better time to go and work on that diamond status!!! The perks really are worth it!! And did I mention I hit a jackpot?! I saw a lot of people winning, so I know it wasn't just me :)

Horsehoe Hammond is the worst casino I've visited. The cashier cage always has long lines and waits. The cashiers are slow & inexperienced. The male cage supervisor was very rude. The cashier named Maria was slow and very rude as well. Don't plan to go back

Ms. Laverne, Ms.Dee and Ms Essie are 3 very hard and caring workers. As i am a customer who frequents the Horseshoe Casino, they have gotten to know me and that i have diabetes. They all check on me when they see me there and always ask if i need anything. they make me feel special when im there.

Last Sunday, I took my 93 year old mother to The Horseshow Casino in Hammpnd, IN We were playing for about 1 1/2 hours and my mom went to change machines and the receipt printed incompletely. The value of the ticket was not shown. She started out with a $100.00 bill so she could keep track of how much she won or lost on just one tickets. After sitting and watching countless employees and managers open the machine and try to figure out what happened and constantly asking here if she had any other tickets in her pockets, they FINALLY paid her the $94.45 due her after we sat there 3 hours and they offered her no comp for her troubles. I doubt she will ever want to go back to this casino again.
