We went on a family tour to Bandipur for 3 days during Nov 5-7 2012. The Resort is well maintained and the facilities are good. I liked the concept of solar heaters for hot water which was 24/7 inspite of frequent power disruption. Television could have been on power back up as it helps to keep kids away from tantrums.
This is not the place for mobile fanatics as the location is totally cut-off for Airtel, Vodafone and other majors mobile connections. I suppose BSNL works. wi-fi is available up to 10PM but calls cannot be made.
Food was good but quality can be improved. Play area had indoor games like carrom, TT, shuttle. My kids could play even cricket. Thanks to the staff. they were curtious.
There were no Tigers,elephants in Wild life safari. All we could see were bison, mongoose, monkey, peacock....
Altogether bandipur is a place to relax far away from routines, close to nature

very warm welcome. Rooms were very clean, Food is good. Most important part of excellent stay is mr. Dharmaraj who always taken care of all visitors and helped in evening programma entertainment. He made children as well as elders in playing various games, going to tracking in the earlymorning. Co-operation of staff is too good. Reception persons hel[ped us guide us and gave very good instruction when ever required. Really the stay is memorable one.

It was our first experience for country club since becoming their member in Sep 2012. We planned to visit bandipur for three days starting Oct 19th. But, our experience was so bad that we had to vacate the resort after staying for one night only.

To start with, we got a small room whereas we were entitled for a cottage room. And, what hurt us was that cottage rooms were being provided to non-members over phone/travel sites whereas the property boasts of providing the rooms to members on priority. Second, bathroom windows were filthy and stained. It seems as if cleaning was not done for ages. I have attached some bathroom pics for reference. Next, the room that we were provided had a connected door that opened into another under-contruction room which was full of mud and dirt. We dont expect such things from class resorts. Adding to above experience, food was not at all good. Very limited choices with no room service. Tea/coffee was served in small paper cups. We had to stand in queue for chapatis like a local mess. We came with lot of expectations from country club resort but were highly disappointed. Our holidays have been ruined.

Also, people who are interested in becoming members for Country club should visit their property once and check if it matches their expectations. Else you will also end up paying huge lumpsum upfront and get average/poor holidays in the end.

Definitely not a three star property. And its rating must be reevaluated to a 1/2 star only.
