The track title links to the expression “there’s plenty of fish in the sea”, which is a metaphor used to describe somebody who is looking to date or start a relationship having plenty of people (options) to choose from.
Gus is romantically letting the audience, and Jess herself, know that she is his “favorite fish”, out of all the potential candidates he could have opted for.

The video/song means the world to me. The song captures what I feel at the apex of true love as opposed to most of my music which is generally inspired by heartbreak. It is about my girlfriend. The video mostly consists of visual innuendos that mimic the lyrics in the song.
