Granted it just opened, this place is SPOTLESS.
Just stopped in for juice and was more than satisfied with the selection. Produce outside looks pretty fresh, albeit a little overpriced. All in all, Westside market is a good addition to the 24 hour grocery store selection in the East Village; you know, when you're not looking to pay 8 dollars for a box of cereal at the corner deli.
However with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods being a stones throw away, I can't say for certain I'll be stopping by too often. - Katt S.Madison, WI356882/3/2018
This grocery store has the most impeccable fruit section I have ever seen in my 22 years...

Stars for variety but...
EXPENSIVE! More expensive than Whole Foods! Why are apples $2.99/pound? And they're not even organic!
Pay attention to expiration dates because They don't.
The store is COLD. Even in the dead of winter it's still colder in the store than outside. In the summer, bring a down coat. - 6931889447811/9/2014
This place has rows and rows of fruit and vegetables like a boss! It catches your eye. The prices are Manhattan appropriate but the selection is amazing. They have a lot of things and a lot of variety of those things. There is a lot of ready made stuff too if you're too lazy you can heat and eat at your hearts desire. I think it's much better than wasting your time at trader joes check out line shopping while you wait. Time is money too people!

I saw a review warning about the checkout price not matching the shelf price and I'd like to second that. I am new to the neighborhood and bought three items, two of which were priced 50 cents higher than marked. They also say they give a discount to seniors before noon, but you'd better ask, and be prepared for a lot of eye rolling in return, although they eventually gave in. It is true their selection is wonderful, and everything is presented beautifully, but the fresh vegetables I checked were 40% higher than the local Key Foods, and even more than that compared to Trader Joe's. So it's close, and open when other stores are not, so I'll remember it when I need something and it's late. I was hoping to make it my go-to market, but I'm afraid not.

Unlike neighboring Trader Joe's and Whole foods, Westside Market is rarely super packed so the lines are nice and short. It has the feel of an upscale grocery store without prices that are too. They provide a nice selection of prepared foods like sandwiches, dips, veggies, and grains.

This place beats Fairway, Whole Foods and my local natural foods store.
It's my new place to shop because they have ALL MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS, they're open 24 hours, very good prices, and the manager, Peter, is very nice (yes, that matters!).
I used to go to Natural Frontier Market on Third/24th, but the new owners aren't friendly, hiked up the prices and stopped carrying all my fave things. I stopped in to Westside Market last night, spur of the moment, and found that they had my Almond Dream Almond-Coconut Milk cheaper than other places and they had my flax Roll-Ups that are impossible to find. I like the fresh produce, the assortment of organic products and the foreign items.
Very happy! - Leya C.Queens Village, NY1386012/17/2016
This is the best super market ever. I am not even talking about how organized and clean it is, but the staff is incredible. Everyone was so nice and Ray the overnight store manager was beyond helpful. From, now on I will be coming here for all my grocery needs.

very impolite girl at check out. I don't know how they end up hiring girls like that

COLD!! This is a nice store but I literally stopped shopping there because the air conditioning is so cold I can't concentrate on finding the items I need. All I want to do is exit the store as soon as possible. Many other customers complain about this and the cashiers all wear coats. What's up with that?
