- Lorna B3 contributionsGood visit, lots of new information. Smaller museum but still lots to read about. Hubby bought a comprehensive book on Hoover that he is throughly enjoying. Easy to navigate around. Big parking area. Surrounding park nice to walk around.Written May 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carrie D.Cleveland, OH2,290 contributionsLocated on the same campus as the Hoover Presidential Library & Museum, along with his gravesite, the Hoover National Historic Site was also really interesting. We particularly enjoyed watching the blacksmith work and chatting with her about her experiences working for the National Park Service. We also loved that when we stopped in the small visitor center gift shop, they had some of the items she’d made in the blacksmith shop for sale—those made really great souvenirs!Written December 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - reasleyosuCincinnati, OH71 contributionsWhen you visit the museum, walk the trail. Great example of the great plains and what the environment in Iowa was hundreds of years ago. Other than the interstate noise, it is like a walk back in time.Written March 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - megan13iaTipton, IA6 contributionsMy husband and I have been coming to this park for years to fish and hike. It has 2 playgrounds, hiking trails and a boat ramp. There are primitive camp sites as well as electric. It can easily flood so be aware, but bounces back quickly to operating again. It has a great view of the Cedar River and many nice places to fish from. There is also a quarry there.Written August 15, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
