About
🌟 Our mission matters: Educate women who will make a difference in the world. We do this with a commitment to the liberal arts and sciences and a leadership model that puts service at the center of it all.
🌟 Our real estate is prime: Close enough to the big cities (Boston, Cambridge) for unreal opportunity, far enough that campus still feels like a campus. Daily, hourly shuttles connect students to neighboring colleges, downtown internships, world-class museums, global cuisines, and historic sites.
🌟 Our financial aid policy is simple: Admit stellar students, then make Wellesley financially possible for them. We do this by meeting 100% of calculated need for all admitted students and cutting student loans for families making under $100,000 a year. A 74-million-dollar financial aid budget and average aid award of $62,500 (per year!) help too.

Undergraduate Research
You, your classmates, a professor or two. Researching something like: “Misinformation on the Web” in computer science; or “Adult Neural Stem Cells" in biochemistry. It happens in your first year, in a First Year Student Research Apprenticeship. And your second, in the Sophomore Early Research Program. And your third or fourth, in a faculty-student collaboration or an independent research project.
