Arrows Debaters Win 1st Place at Deerfield Academy Debate

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, St. Sebastian's participated in the Deerfield Academy Invitational Debating Tournament.​ The Tournament featured three rounds of parliamentary extemporaneous debating. Nine Arrow Debaters participated in the Tournament: Raif Boit '24, Gianluca Centola '24, Jonathan Demosthene '24 and Rui do Rosario '24 competed in the Advanced Division. Rohan Ghatge '28, Andrew MacDougall '27, Jack McRoskey '27 and Luke Puglia '27 competed in the Novice Division. Daniel Yang '25 served as a judge in the Novice Division.

Congratulations to Raif Boit and Jonathan Demosthene who placed 1st out of 28 teams and to Raif who placed 1st out of 56 debaters in the Advanced Division.
