The newer version of the app has some improvements but I was not impressed with where it listed my bill pay companies. It took me a few clicks on several buttons to figure out that they listed it under Pay My Contacts. That sounds like I'm sending money to an individual not a company. Who has their bills under contacts. Leave it like it was, call it Bill Pay. And on remote deposits, it sure would be nice if there was a place to add a description as to what the check was for.

November 2021 UPDATE Finally works again, but the app is now even a worse experience. Removed features, tonnes of wasted space and fluff. WaFed went to great lengths to make sure it wasn't like a computer experience. That's 100% the WRONG direction. The new app is all fluff, giant text and icons, so little actual useful content shown on the screen at once, and the complete redo of the account/password was unwelcome. This is a much worse app than ever. Looking forward to dumping WaFed soon.

The old app was better. The new app doesn't have a balance preview, you have to actually log in to see account balance. They took a step back with that feature. Then the account numbers are not displayed on the home screen, its very frustrating to have to go into the account to actually see what account it is. The old app displayed the account number on the home screen. To me, Washington Federal took a step back instead of moving forward with the app. It feels outdated.
