Nursing at WAU
Our nursing curriculum offers theoretical and clinical experiences. We utilize Adventist HealthCare: White Oak Medical Center and Shady Grove Medical Center, Adventist Behavioral Health, and Adventist Home Health for clinical experience. We have clinical sites in DC such as MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Children’s National Hospital, and Washington DC VA Medical Center.

Probably one of the worst schools ever! If you’re thinking of going to their nursing program, DO NOT DO IT. This is not only extremely expensive however, it is extremely unorganized and has an unfair grading system. For example if you pass an assignment or exam and a lot of people do not pass, it gets thrown out and risk failing! They also have an expectation rate of 80% for every class which makes no sense when they throw in and out assignments. They doing give proper study guides and make their own exams. All this combined with poor, experienced teachers, and poor teachings do nothing besides sign you up for failure and wasting of your money. They act like they care but they DO NOT CARE. Don’t be fooled this is the fakest Christian school ever, they have students in short shorts and teachers that bully students.
Overall, it's an amazing school that offers some variety of majors and minors. there is an undergraduate program but not a lot of variety in the graduate program. The current SA officers are doing well in making events for students to attend. Washington Adventist University is located in a nice central area near the capitol, Washington D.C. It's about 30 min via metro to the National mall and there a lot of free things available for you there. Another thing to take notice of is that it is a very diverse university. At the end of the day it's a great school, with great professors and people and since it's located closer to a city, there are many opportunities for future jobs there.
I like the people there and professors they are helpful and teach us what we need to know. I really do not like the food the school gives but besides that everyone else if very friendly and helpful. The classes are hard but the teachers try as much as they can to help the students understand and they make tutoring available so if we need additional help they are there to help they also offer open lab which helps us get extra practice in learn hand ons things that we need extra help on with what we learn in lab. Some things that I would like to see change would be is that there are some teachers that aren't always available to students and it gets hard to set time to meet with them because the time the students have is ver minimum. I would also like to see if there could be some extra time that students can have during the days because i feel like we are always cramp for time and we are not able to full fill everything we need to do because the time does not permit. This is all thanks.
