Warren Hills Regional High School Reviews
Rating 3.44 out of 5 230 reviews
Overall, I wouldn't be the student I am today without the help of the teachers and faculty at my school. They make learning fun, and worthwhile. Throughout my time here, not only have we been taught things at an academic level, but we've been taught things that connect to real life and give us real world experience. With the diversity of the staff, there are new things to learn everyday outside of the curriculum. In fact, many of my English writing and specialty teachers have inspired me to pursue higher level education and hopefully one day become an English professor.
Generally speaking, Warren Hills' best attribute is its faculty. Most teachers are approachable and provide extra help when needed. Overall, they harbor a satisfactory learning environment and are mostly reasonable. The biggest issue comes to the administration-student relationship. Most of administration tends to have little trust in students, leading them to micromanage and burden everybody. In turn, students don't have much respect for administration, and students who actually have bad behavior feel even more validated to continue their behavior. Even students with a clean record tend to feel belittled or patronized. If this culture changed, the school would be better off.
My experience in Warren Hills Regional high school could be described as a slope. Some students may describe our school as mentally exhausing. In my perspective, my experience has many high and lows. An high that i could recall is my first homecoming football game. Everyone was so hype, the excitement energy that everyone had was amazing. I could tell that my school worked so hard to please everyone and it work, it was a safe space for my friends and I to enjoy our self. A low that i could recall is when my school had real lock down, my schoolmate and i were scared. Many of them had anxiety attacks and started texting their families "If anything happens, I love you." I knew that the school was not prepared but they did handle it very well. They made sure that students followed procedures. If i had to think back for my experience in Warren Hills Regional High School, i would say that i would not change a thing, because they make sure that their students are protected and happy.
