Do you think we will get Wanda centric episode in What If Season 3? Do you think we will get Wanda centric episode in What If Season 3?
Discussion

There hasn't been a What If episode specifically about Wanda. But S1 and S2 showed two variants. So maybe we will get a Wanda episode? There's a rumour that Agatha will appear in Season 3. Could this episode be a WandaVision what if? Supposedly the episode takes place in the not so distant past so I guess it could be a period piece. Though by now WandaVision's in the not so distant past.

Personally I want to see a scenario where Agatha isn't evil and helps Wanda. Also, even though I don't like MoM, I'd be interested in seeing what would have happened if Wanda succeeded in taking America Chavez's power. Whatever it is I really want to see an episode centered around Wanda.

Wanda's Character Arc from Hero to Villain so divisive? Wanda's Character Arc from Hero to Villain so divisive?

I will mostly talking about Wanda Maximoff from Wandavision but it seems like most people are divided on her character from that show especially from the reveal that she had warped reality and mind-controlled Westview to fit her idealized fantasy. They are defenders that say she is sympathetic, they are critics that see her as villain and finally we have critics that argue she is character assassinated.

Defenders argue that Wanda never intended to warp reality and enslaved the town and that was primarily a result of her own trauma and grief causing her powers to act out. Ultimately once she recognized the harm she was done(albeit that was revealed to her by Agatha), she ultimately tried to correct everything.

Critics argue that Wanda did recognize something was wrong about Westview and even when Vision warned her about reality-warping she brushed him off and continued to keep everyone under her magical spell and it was only after being revealed that people were actually being hurt by it later by Agatha she acted against her and undid everything. The ending Wandavision didn't also help since Monica made it seem like Wanda is a purely a victim and didn't really hold her accountable for reality warping in the first place. Honestly I can understand where the critics are coming from but the hate goes too far to the point that they declare her the most evil character in the MCU and Multiverse of Madness didn't help in that regard honestly this is why I don't associate myself with them.

Finally we have critics who see her as character assassinated. These are people that fundamentally don't like Wanda becoming and villain and losing her sanity in the face of trauma and grief as such they dislike the whole plot of Wandavision because it ruined her character. In the comics, Wanda endured lots of mental and emotional trauma and tragedy because it broke her mentally and some people felt the MCU didn't built in up. A good comparison is that they are fans that hated Civil War Comics Storyline because the heroic characters become more morally grey or even outright evil.

Captain Marvel in particular was seen as character assassinated in Civil War 2 because she ruthlessly began to hunt down threats based on some vague premonitions thus became an authoritarian dictator.

Ultimately I fall somewhere between the second and third camp, I do feel like Wanda wasn't held fully accountable in Wandavision but I can understand why people hate the fact she has to become a full villain.

My pitch is that Wanda by the end of Wandavision feeling guilty of actions in Westview decided to visit the New York Sanctum to consult Dr Strange on what she should do. I feel that Wanda as a character wants a strong sense of control and normalcy in life hence she felt her powers have become a burden and active danger to everyone hence sought help from the wider mystic community.

However in the midst of all this other eldritch deities such as Nightmare and Cthon began to sense her growing powers and see her as a useful pawn in their schemes thus leads to the Multiverse of Madness.

Do you want to see 838 Wanda again? Do you want to see 838 Wanda again?

I kind of want to learn more about this Wanda. What's known is that thanks to Ultron turning out well she was able to retire and live a happy life, and is thus mentally stabler than our Wanda. And I want to see what such Wanda is like. I guess she's less mentally healthy than before after the events of MoM but probably still more so than our Wanda.

Of course I don't want her(or any other magic character) to replace our Wanda. But its the Multiverse Saga so it'd be nice to see more of the variants and how different they are from the primary timeline counterparts.
