WandaVision: Episode 5 (Original Soundtrack)

In a similar fashion for each episode of the Marvel Studios-produced Disney+ series paying homage to a different decade of classic American television with each respective episode, each episode of WandaVision also receives an original theme song to go along with it by composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The married music duo—who are famous for their other Disney work on the Frozen franchise and Coco soundtracks—take the same inspiration as that of the respective episode. For “On a Very Special Episode…,” the writers drew heavy inspiration from Family Ties.

Along with each episode’s theme song is the score, composed by Christophe Beck. Beck also composed the score for the Frozen films in addition to both Marvel Studios films, Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The albums are released in a similar fashion as that of the first season of The Mandalorian, which were released alongside each weekly episode. However, WandaVision differs in that each album is released the week after the episode premiered. It is assumed a fifth album will be released a week after the episode’s debut, same as the previous soundtrack albums.
