Wayne Walter Scheel

MARSHALL - Wayne Walter Scheel, age 91, of Marshall, WI, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at home with his family by his side.
He was born on August 17, 1932, in the Township of Deerfield, the son of Walter and Evelyn (Smith) Scheel. He married Ruth Dahl on May 18, 1957, at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church in Deerfield. Following graduation from Deerfield High School, Wayne entered the U.S. Army. He was a jack-of-all-trades, demonstrated by the various occupations he had throughout his life.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth; daughters: Rachel (Mike) Beck and Lori (Daryl) Schultz; and grandchildren: Hanna and Kristian Schultz.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, LeRoy Kessler; and granddaughter, Kristina Schultz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, Deerfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church Cemetery Association, Circle of Love, or Restoration Fund.
His family would like to thank Agrace Hospice with special appreciation to Melissa, his special nurse.
