WWE (Monday Night) Raw is a professional wrestling television program that currently airs live on Monday evenings on the USA Network in the United States. The show debuted on January 11, 1993 and since has been the flagship program of WWE's syndicated programming. WWE Raw moved from the USA Network to TNN in September 2000 and then to Spike in August 2003, when TNN was rebranded. On October 3, 2005, WWE Raw returned to the USA Network, where it remains today.

Since its first episode, WWE Raw has broadcast live from 203 different arenas in 169 cities and towns in ten different nations (the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Afghanistan in 2005, Iraq in 2006 and 2007, South Africa, Germany, Japan, Italy and Mexico). As of the show's 1,000th episode that aired on July 23, 2012, Raw has become a three-hour broadcast from two hours, a format that had previously been reserved for special episodes.

History[]

A.M Raw was an idea brought on by Vince McMahon in an attempt to gain the few viewers that watch TV around midnight on Saturday. On October 8, 2005, the WWE succeeded. They made a new program called A.M Raw. It debuted with the Raw introduction video (which the theme song at the time was "Across The Nation"), and it introduced some common themes of the show: It features an information bar at the bottom of the screen that gives weekly news updates from around the WWE. Also, A.M Raw was aired on Sunday mornings from 9e/10e. It was later dropped from that time slot.

Ratings History[]

Since A.M Raw airs during the midnight hour, it doesn't have as high ratings as Raw or Smackdown. However, A.M Raw is the #1 show on cable at its timeslot. It gains an average 0.82 rating.

International  Marketing[]

The show currently airs on the USA Network (and on Wednesdays on, Saturdays on, and Sundays on in ) in the United States. Occasionally, Raw is aired on same-day tape delay when WWE is on an overseas tour.
