Welcome to {my}dentist Street, also known as Street Dental Practice, a 4-surgery practice in the Vine Health Park in Street. You can find us on Hindhayes Lane next to Boots with a shared carpark to the front of the practice. We are providers of both NHS and Private treatments, including our {my}options affordable private treatment for more flexible appointments, without the private price tag. Some of our available treatments include ClearCorrect and Six Month Smiles teeth straightening options, Implants, Teeth Whitening and Hygiene appointments.

    "I had a really deep cavity in my upper wisdom tooth and was in pain, no other dentist around could get an appointment to see me other than the following month but I was able to see a dentist here within a week of phoning. After my check up, I was then able to quickly book the following week for a large filling to be done. I had to go private due to lack of NHS spaces but the fees are very reasonable and the treatment and care I received was excellent. I went for the composite filling method which in my opinion is much better than amalgam. I am informed that an upper wisdom tooth filling is quite difficult but my dentist Jae made an excellent job of it and it was relatively pain free! I will be definitely using this surgery again and would highly recommend. Thank you My Dentist Street and Jae and his assistant (sorry didn’t ask your name)."

    "I've got a special birthday coming up the beginning of August and wanted a new denture plate for 3 teeth to replace my old one of 13yrs. We started the process the end of June for me to have them in time for my birthday party for the 1st week of August. My dentist Merhdad and his dental nurse were fantastic!! At one point I didn't think I'd get them in time as my dentist had to self isolate for 2 weeks. He got me back in the surgery the morning he came back and long story short I picked up my new plate this afternoon ???????? so happy and so grateful for Merhdad for getting them done in time. You're a Star. MASSIVE THANKS!!!"

    Gaetano graduated as Dental Surgeon from the Dental School of Palermo University in Italy in 2002, following which he entered the private practice in Alcamo. In 2003 he moved to Germany were he trained extensively in field of oral surgery and then in private practice. IN 2004, Gaetano started to practice in general dental practice NHS and private in Somerset, meanwhile pursuing postgraduate training in the field of Prosthodontics, the branch of dentistry focusing on restoring or replacing damaged or missing teeth. Gaetano has attained a Certificate in Implantology from UCL Eastman Dental School and in 2009 the UCL Post Graduate Certificate in Advance Aesthetic Dentistry. He has participated to different courses in UK and abroad to upgrade his skills. He currently practices in Bridgwater, Wellington in mix NHS and Private practice and in Yeovil on a referral basis.

    Following his graduation from university Vassilis holds over 25 years of experience in restorative and aesthetic dentistry in the private dental field in Greece. he holds a pharmacy and pharmacology university degree, but dentistry attracted his attention. Working as a general Dentist in a young offenders institute, and carried out several projects with inmates. He moved to the UK in 2017 where he started working in a mixed NHS/private practice in Somerset, since joining {my}dentist he has regularly attended course in the UK and overseas to widen his portfolio, in the last 10yrs he has gained knowledge and training in implant dentistry and has a deeper knowledge on single and multiple teeth replacement and denture stabilization. What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth. Because dental implants are securely anchored in your jaw you’ll have the confidence to comfortably eat whatever you like.

  • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.

  • Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.

  • Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.

  • Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.
