Cost to see is low but great views from the top. Do know it has quite a few steps so not for weak of heart. As others have said it does have several resting areas but there is NO elevator. I am very glad I got off bus 100 and took in the sights.

Super-impressive monument commemorating Prussia and Germany's various victories in the 19th century. In the middle of large roundabout and surrounded by the Tiergarten so that you can see it from a substantial distance. If you like climbing things there's a viewing platform at the top. Not sure how long ago it was refurbishes, but it certainly gleams amazingly in the sun. There's also statues aroudn the intersection of a number of 19th century generals. Have a stroll in the nearby Tiergarten and the English Garden and then check out the whole roundabout area.

Saw from the Brandenburg gate and fancied walking to it (it’s further than it seems!) It was absolutely immense and easy to access with the tunnels underneath. The structure itself is really impressive and so is the story behind it. We didn’t go up but now wish we did. Wasn’t particularly busy when we went.

We walked to this monument after seeing it from the Brandenburg gate. It took a while but we meandered through the parks on the way. There is a payment to enter, and once inside a little display of history. We went to the first layer, and then my son (15) walked up to the top section. I avoided it as the steps are narrow and it’s a long long way. He said it was good and the view was good from the top but I don’t feel like I missed out because I didn’t go there. Worth looking for the bulletin marks on the outside.

This was a fun and inexpensive site to visit. We walked the 2km from the Brandenburg Gate to the tower and paid €4 to enter the museum and climb the tower. If you're claustrophobic you might want to give the climb a miss as the staircase is narrow and has many people climbing and descending at the same time. The views from the top are great however and worth the climb!

Missed visiting last time I was in Berlin, but glad I made the effort. It was well worth the seeing and the snow made it even more magical. Didn’t have time to climb to the top, but I’ll definitely be back to do that next time.
