This Park is huge! We walked about 1/3 of it before getting tired, there is so much to see and do on this island. Would have hired bikes, but we forgot our internet dongle and had no signal. Lovely park, huge green spaces, plenty of trees, ponds, lots of sculptures around the edges of the island. Fantastic views of Vancouver all along the outside.
Would definitely recommend a visit here. Bring your own bike or hire one, as walking will take you all day with decent trainers. We even saw a Bald Eagle which was beautiful!
The only downside was a lack of water fountains for refilling drinks, and some of the cafes were shut when we visited. Bit of a shame for a Sunday. We might have seen more had we been able to get a drink.Written April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have happy hour after 2.00pm so we enjoyed two glasses of pinot and some humus dip ( which was a large serving) . Excellent views nestled between the two bridges. We walked there and back. If you are on the other side you can catch a quick ferry over for £4.50 per person. An excellent way to spend our last day in Vancouver.Written April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. An amazing (and huge) market filled all kinds of food, and merchandise. The market stall holders are all really friendly and happy to talk to you about their products, the entire market was busy and had street performers dotted around as well.
There is plenty to choose from, and lots of variety so you can pretty much find anything you want and need from this market. Really enjoyed our visit.
We had lunch from Gormet Wok (beef in black bean sauce with rice, and a vegetarian noodle dish), both delicious. We also treated ourselves to dessert from Stuart's The Bakers (strawberry cheesecake and chocolate turtle).
Would love to live locally to shop from here on the regular.Written April 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ZitatravelLondon, UK852 contributionsNice area to wander around on the harbour. Good views . There was a passenger liner in when we were there so could not walk all the way round. The shoreline walk on the left is a better walk with lots of bars and restaurants . So Canada Place is your starting point for a visit to the Harbour.Written April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travel25346533585168 contributionsWhile on the small size as far as Museums go The Vancouver Museum of Anthropology does have it's merits. It is a good rainy day activity when visiting Vancouver. It is also easy to get to, transportation wise. While not a must see, if you visit it does have it's merits.Written April 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
