Valencia High School Reviews

My overall experience of Valencia High School was a bit conflicted mainly because I enjoy learning; however, most of the teachers either didn't care or were overwhelmed by those who didn't want to learn and didn't seem to love teaching. Nevertheless, I only really experienced that during my freshman and sophomore years, which I think is crucial to the development of a high school teenager, but thankfully, I found my love for learning again during my junior and senior years with much better instructors.
I have had all good experiences with all of my teachers, my counselor, and coaches. I have found that my best teachers were my Honors/AP teachers. I was able to easily obtain all of my graduation requirements with plenty of credits. All around the environment at Valencia has been the best I’ve experienced academically, athletically, and socially. I love this school’s many clubs, athletic programs, and class options. The only thing I would really change is that I’d like to see more help with college applications, essays, and scholarships.
My experience currently at Valencia High School is kind of like a rollercoaster. At this school, it tries to be more open to diversity. For example, last year, they started an event called Culture Fest. This event allows students from different cultures to share things about their culture, such as food, music, and clothes. However, one downside to this school is the maintenance. The school bathrooms don't have functioning paper towels, and they even put soap outside. Another con about this school is they do not allow more class opportunities. For example, the school doesn't let someone take an honors science class. There is only general or advanced placement. As someone who likes to have a challenging class that is not too challenging, this makes it difficult to enjoy this school sometimes. However, even with these cons, one advantage I've experienced is that there are so many clubs you can join. This allows people to enjoy their to everyone's needs.
