Ektaa Kapoor Confirms Lock Upp Season 2; Reveals Tentative Launch Date

Ektaa Kapoor left everyone surprised by bringing a sensational reality show, Lock Upp, to give tough competition to the Bigg Boss OTT. The producer roped in Kangana Ranaut as the host of Lock Upp season 1 and as expected, the Queen star made the show a hot topic of discussion on social media. Ever since the first season ended in 2022, fans have been curious to know about the development of Lock Upp season 2. Amidst all, Ektaa Kapoor has finally confirmed the second season and revealed the tentative launch date of it.

Ektaa Kapoor was spotted at Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain’s Holi bash in Mumbai. She interacted with paps, where the diva was asked about Lock Upp season 2. Ektaa confirmed that Lock Upp season 2 is coming soon.

Ektaa Kapoor said, “Lock Upp season 2 is coming in the next 6 months. I will bring season 2 in six months.” The Pavitra Rishta maker didn’t share much detail about the show but promised that she would bring it back soon.

It has to be noted that Kangana Ranaut hosted the first season of Lock Upp. However, there is no confirmation whether she would host Lock Upp 2 or not. On March 24, 2024, Kangana confirmed that she would be contesting Lok Sabha elections from Mandi constituency. The actress joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

Lock Upp was won by Munawar Faruqui. The stand-up comedian defeated Payal Rohatgi in the finale. Karan Kundrra was the jailer of Lock Upp. The show also had Poonam Pandey, Anjali Arora, Ali Merchant, Prince Narula, Azma Fallah and others as contestants. Ever since Ektaa Kapoor confirmed Lock Upp season 2, fans have now started getting intrigued to know about the contestants’ list.
