University of South Dakota Reviews
Rating 3.69 out of 5 953 reviews
The University of South Dakota has proven to be an excellent choice for students seeking a smaller, more intimate academic setting, boasting a commendable faculty-to-student ratio. Having completed 45 credits thus far, I am pleased to report a high level of satisfaction with both the faculty and the academic offerings. One of the standout features of my experience has been the professors' genuine care for their students, which has undoubtedly contributed to my academic success. However, while my overall experience has been positive, there is room for improvement. Specifically, I believe the university could focus more on housing and broadening student living opportunities to ensure that all students have housing access. By continuing to prioritize these efforts, the University of South Dakota can further solidify its reputation as a welcoming and supportive academic institution.
I came to USD to move away from home and experience life on my own. The campus is beautiful and has so many opportunities however, the community is incredibly small there is not much to do around town and if you aren't a athlete or in Greek life it is hard to find a place at the school. The professors and staff really do care about you and want to make sure you have the best time you can. All of your professors will most likely know you by name which is really nice. I wish there was more diversity surrounding the school and community.
I am a dual enrollment student at University of South Dakota and an upcoming college freshman. The University of South Dakota made it easy and convenient to fit college classes into my everyday full time high school schedule. My professors maintained good communication with me throughout the semester and made sure I had everything I needed to succeed in their course. I have taken 7 dual enrollment course and I had good experiences with all of them.
