Pitt has a gorgeous campus and I've really enjoyed my time here so far! However, they won't tell you how bad the food is. The dining halls (especially the eatery) are not very good and the wait times for on-campus meal swap locations make it difficult at times. The housing process is very easy when entering freshman year, but incredibly stressful and difficult following that. These are really the only things I have to complain about. Overall, the school pride is great, we have nice architecture, fun sports, and plenty of green space for sunny days.

Review University of Pittsburgh

University of Pittsburgh has a very unique feature compared to other colleges and that is the aroma and culture a part of this college. Heading into this college my first year was a little scary considering I'm on my own in another state. I had to get the fill of things and time manage accordingly for my major. I assumed I was going to be depressed and I wasn't going to get along with any of my colleagues. Turns out I was wrong, meeting people especially in your same major helps so much with studying and branching out to other people. Honestly this is what makes the experience ten times better. Creating collages and being around likeminded people, you find your niche and it makes your experience relaxing, enjoyable, and fun for the next few years you attend. Even joining clubs, you feel more connected. It expands your horizon through diversity and cultural events you; feel included and welcomed with everything that goes on during the month. Overall, this is what makes Pitt amazing.

Socially, the university has multitudes to offer, countless clubs and organization and events from farmers markets to concerts, fireworks, food trucks and group fitness classes there is always something to do on campus. However, if campus recreation is not what you are interested in, the university is located in the perfect spot with access to downtown city, amazing restaurant, theaters, hiking trails and more. Academically there are several opportunities to be intellectually challenges both in the classroom and outside of the classroom with research, internships, lectures and more. I have admittedly had some qualms with a number of professors here, whether it be expecting unreasonable amount of commitment, writing unfair exams, or arrogant attitudes however I have also experience some professors that greatly impacted my collegiate experience. I would like to note that as someone who is gluten free I have not had a positive experience with dinning on campus.
