If I pursue MSc Marketing in UK, what are the chances of me getting a job? Especially since I don’t have any prior work experience.

Careers

my_qualifications: Bachelor’s in Design (completed in 2021)

I worked on few freelancing projects for a while. Did a job for two months or so. And since then, I’ve been freelancing.

I edit books for UK, US clients.

I want to pursue marketing now. If I get into a college, what are the chances of me scoring a job in UK especially since I don’t have any prior job experience. All of them have been freelance work.

I’m just looking for some kind of clarity on this. Thank you!

There a jobs but they are competitive ( still less competitive than IT/ cs).. Be fluent in communication and you’ll get a job sooner or later.

Nearly none. Everyone and their mother has a marketing degree plus experience there; marketing jobs are highly competetive. Wouldn‘t waste so much money on this degree if I were you.

He isn’t going to take your job buddy. My several friends work in uk . Although getting first job is difficult but after getting a job everything is easy.

Lmao buddy I don‘t work in the same branch I don‘t care about anyone taking my job away. You yourself said it, getting a first job is difficult and that‘s exactly what I said, so you aren‘t even disagreeing with me. Telling someone no work experience and not being local doesn‘t matter and they don‘t have to worry is utopic, not even talking about all the money they would potentially waste. Makes so much more sense to study something in demand so that they have higher chances to land a job and not waste time and money because people were lying to him/her that it would be totally possible.

Friend of mine with experience in some of the best marketing MNCs in India went for MSc in a top uni in UK. They haven't been able to land a job in the last year since graduation. Market is brutal for marketing folks as there is absolutely no shortage of domestic marketing grads and the jobs are fewer because of economic contraction.

Don't give the kid false hopes.

Designer here. Take up short courses on social media marketing, since you can design take up social media clients so that you can manage single account by yourself. 10years of experience in advertising, quit my job to do the same.
