University of Florida Reviews

The University of Florida is amazing! The culture here is very "work hard, play hard." The classes are rigorous and the students are very ambitious and involved in many organizations. Greek Life and partying is also pretty big here. Sports are huge -- football and tailgating especially! The city itself (Gainesville, FL) is a small college town, which is really fun! Overall, I made the best decision coming to UF and highly recommend it!
The University of Florida, located in a small friendly town with many activities for students to take part in, whether recreational or night life. Many of the building are styled in old brick architecture, and for some areas are beginning to phase out asphalt roads for walkable paths. My only concerns with it involve it being a research school, so many professors aren't well trained for the classroom environment and sometimes show a form of disinterest, and the city is planning to remove many of the public bus transportations.
Heading into college was a completely new and terrifying feeling; However, the University of Florida made it easy to call Gainesville my new home. The campus is walkable, thousands of people my age surround me making it easier to find friends, and my classes challenge me. Overcoming my first semester was tough, but I could finally find belonging once I got my routine down. I like the campus layout, the coffee shops planted all around, and the feeling of independence. I would like to see a bigger variety of food options and a little renovation to the older buildings, but other than that it is a great university with great people!
