Special Housing Agreements
Sapienza periodically issues a new call to identify housing opportunities for university students through agreements with public and private rental agencies.
Housing available through special agreements is reserved for:
- Students enrolled at Sapienza University
- Students who have to take a Sapienza admission exam
- Foreign students participating in academic, didactic and cultural exchanges with Sapienza University

This facility is reserved for female students. The facility, which is located near the university, provides both singles and doubles for young women. The facility also provides board (breakfast and dinner during the week, breakfast and lunch on Saturdays and only breakfast on Sundays and holidays). There are various common areas: study and reading rooms, entertainment area, TV Room and a gym. Kitchens are also available throughout the day. There is a self-service laundry room. |

The Pensionato Universitario Femminile "Sant'Angela Merici' is for female students only and it is about 1.2 km away from Piazzale Aldo Moro, about a 15-minute walk.
Students can reach Sapienza premises by:
- Tram N° 2 - 3 and 19 from the Viale Regina Margherita/Nomentana stop only 20 metres from the Pensionato's entrance to the Regina Elena/Viale Università stop (3 stops).
- Bus N° 88 from the Viale Regina Margherita/Nomentana stop only 20 metres from the Pensionato's entrance to the Regina Elena/Viale Università stop (3 stops).
The Pensionato Universitario Femminile 'Sant'Angela Merici' is also only 500 metres from the "Policlinico" and "Castro Pretorio" (Metro B) underground stations.
Bus stops numbers 60 - 62 - 66 - 82 and 90 are located only 20 metres from the Pensionato's entrance.
The large and welcoming structure, spread over four floors, has a beautiful private garden and an internal car park for the exclusive use of the Pensionato Universitario Femminile "Sant'Angela Merici' guests only, offers the following services:
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the facility, including outdoor spaces.
- Two libraries and study rooms with Wi-Fi connection.
- Kitchens with kitchenettes, oven, microwave, toaster, freezer with personal drawer for each student.
- En-suite fridge.
- TV room on each floor.
- Gym.
- Hobby room.
- Beverage and snack vending machine.
- Church available for students.
- Laundry and ironing room with covered terrace.
- Room cleaning is guaranteed twice a week.
- Common area cleaning guaranteed weekly, kitchen cleaning Monday to Saturday.
- Bed linen and dishware for kitchen use are not provided.
- Each student has access to the Pensionato through a personal code connected to the alarm system.
- Return hours Sunday to Thursday by midnight, Friday and Saturday h24.
- Reception is open seven days a week, Sunday to Thursday from 07:00 to midnight, Friday and Saturday h24.
The Pensionato has a night surveillance service seven days a week from 00:00 to 07:00, an access management system connected to a video surveillance system and an alarm system.
Monthly unit price:
The Sant'Angela Domus Association, manager of the Pensionato Universitario Femminile "Sant'Angela Merici', offers a twelve-month contract corresponding to the academic year 1 September - 31 August.
The female students will only have to pay the monthly payment for eleven months from 1 September to 31 July. In August, the place occupied during the year is free of charge.
Prices:
- Single room with en-suite bathroom: € 600.00 monthly rent.
- Single room with external bathroom: € 500.00 monthly rent.
- Double room with en-suite bathroom: € 500.00 monthly rent.
- Double room with external bathroom: € 430,00 monthly rate
- External bathrooms are shared exclusively by three female students and are equipped with a private key held by the three assignee students only.
- Comune di Roma Tourist Tax of € 3,50 per person per night (due only for the first 10 nights in the calendar year) is not included.

Fondazione RUI
Fondazione RUI university residences host meritorious Italian and international students.
The RUI Foundation reserves 10 discounted places (€1000 discount) for Sapienza’s best students, four of which are reserved for international students.

- Residenza Universitaria Celimontano - via Palestro 7 (Porta Pia – “Castro Pretorio” Metro B stop) – only women;
- Residenza Universitaria Porta Nevia - via Laurentina 86Q (EUR/Cristoforo Colombo –“Marconi” Metro B stop) – only women.
"Study and Live in Rome" Handbook
Sapienza University collaborated with the Guardia di Finanza to produce a handbook on student housing in Rome. It contains invaluable guidelines on the different types of available contracts, accommodation offered by Roman universities and Laziodisu, fiscal subsidies, contract plans and housing funds for students, as well as a list of useful contacts.
