WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will host the Connecticut Huskies for a three-game series this weekend at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia. Game one is slated for Friday, April 19 with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (26-10) is coming off a weekend sweep of Butler as the Hoyas took the three contests 13-4, 9-5 and 15-2. GU was able to run rule the Bulldogs on Sunday as the contest ended after seven innings.
- Christian Ficca leads GU at the plate slashing .345/.456/.592. The senior has 49 hits, 11 doubles, eight home runs, 45 RBIs and 24 walks on the season.
- Josh Rolling was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week after dominating last weekend against Butler. Rolling slashed .727/.813/.909 on the week with eight hits, two doubles and five RBIs. The Reno, Nevada native tallied five walks and five runs scored in his dominant weekend.
- Everett Catlett was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fifth-consecutive week on Monday. Catlett has been lights out on the mound in his last five outings. Against Butler, he tossed six innings allowing four hits while striking out eight batters. Across his last 37.1 innings, Catlett has allowed only one earned run and is yet to allow an earned run to a conference opponent.
- The Hoya pitching staff is currently second in the country in saves with 15 and leads the nation in pickoffs with 15. The Georgetown pitching staff leads the conference in ERA with a 4.56 on the season. GU is second in the conference in hits allowed per nine innings (8.46) and is first in the conference in WHIP (1.46).
- Georgetown currently leads the conference in double plays with 39, a mark good for third nationally. GU is second in the conference in doubles (82), first in hits (373) and is first in slugging percentage (.490).
- Catlett leads the BIG EAST in ERA with a 2.36 while Andrew Williams is second in the conference with a 2.54 ERA. Ficca leads the conference in RBIs with 45. Nick Davis leads the conference in saves with six on the season, a mark good for 20th nationally. Michael Eze leads the conference in stolen bases with 23, a mark good for 10th nationally.
ABOUT UCONN
- UConn (17-18) enters the series after taking two out of three against St. John's last weekend. The Huskies then defeated Kansas State 4-0 on Tuesday and lost to Boston College 8-2 on Wednesday.
- Paul Tammaro leads the Huskies at the plate slashing .323/.458/.476. Tammaro has 40 hits, seven doubles, four home runs, 22 RBIs and 19 walks on the season.
- Garrett Coe leads UConn on the mound with a 4-5 record and a 5.20 ERA. Coe has logged 53.2 innings on the mound and has allowed 31 earned runs while striking out 46 on the season.
