Credit: LA PrideJune is Pride Month and Universal Studios Hollywood has teamed with LA Pride to host an epic LGBTQ+ Night at the Southern California theme park. The special event will take place on June 25 from 4 p.m. until 12 a.m.
While the after-hours LGBTQ+ Night does not officially begin until 9 p.m., tickets to the event allow Guests to enter the theme park at 4 p.m. and take advantage of all the theme park has to offer. LA Pride shared more information about the event on its site:
LA Pride has teamed up once again with the amazing folks at Universal Studios Hollywood™ to wrap out Pride month with a bang! Welcome to our Hollywood theme park take-over, PRIDE IS UNIVERSAL! With your PRIDE IS UNIVERSAL ticket, begin entering Universal Studios Hollywood at 4PM, and mix in with regular park guests to enjoy the theme park during park operating hours. But then, the park closes to the public at 8PM, and you get to stay for the after-hours experience!
A number of experiences and attractions will be open during the special LGBTQ+ Night, including:
- The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash
- Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem
- Simpsons™: The Ride
- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
- Flight of the Hippogriff
- Transformers: The Ride 3D!
- Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride
- Jurassic World: The Ride
- Universal Studios Backlot Tour (until 9:30 p.m.)
- DreamWorks Theater
- Ollivander’s Wand Shop
The LA Pride website had even more exciting news to share about the event as well. There will be more than just fun attractions for Guests of the event to experience.
But wait, there’s more! The world famous Studio Tour will be running until 9:30PM. Not one, but two DJ’s will be spinning tracks throughout the park. The retail stores, select restaurants, and cash bars will be open and ready to serve you. And 14 of your favorite characters will be available for distanced photo ops. Musical guests and other surprises to be announced.
The celebratory event is open to all who would like to attend — although a valid ID will be required for those wishing to purchase drinks from the cash bars. Tickets begin at $96, but the website warns that the price could increase as the event nears its date.
