Are patient rooms shared or private in the transplant center?
A:
I don't know about the transplant center. Where my mom is the room is shared. The only time she has had her own room was in the icu.

This is the best place for medical care in the Sacramento area I believe. Currently they are fixing the outside area for emergency accommodations and looks like maybe more parking but you still got to pay an exorbitant amount for parking. It's about $18 a day for the parking garage.
Care on the fourth floor six and seven are pretty goodHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 3, 2022Previous reviewAny time to go to the hospital going to the ER is always gonna take a while so other than that it's not a bad visit. The staff at night I was pretty good so I will stay after we have for the day as well.
Oct 16, 2020Previous reviewService has been good here so far, regarding the multiple times we have been here.
ER is and ER and it takes forever. But if you now what you need regarding pre- existing conditions you can get what you need in a quick manner.
You have to wait inline for checkin at the front. You get temperature check and have to wear a N95 mask to continue checking in. After that you are smooth flowing until you need to leave and give back that visitors pass.
I'm real big on elevators for some reason. So each one always works and are clean!!
The stairs on the other hand have a few issues that need to be addressed. I get my steps in by going downstairs and back up from time to time and some are in need of repair which is why I have 4 STARS
Everything else is on point like Stacy Adams. Staff are nice and great - Mar 22, 2024
Outpatient Surgery [Sacramento CA]
After a few doctor appointments something that is typically harmless turned out that my daughter needed to have treatment per doctor's recommendation.
She was advised to be at the hospital at 11:45a to check-in with the receptionist. Her appt was on a Friday. This was our first time here and we were not familiar with the hospital so we arrived a little early. She had already completed the pre-check in paperwork online so this process went fast.
The procedure was scheduled to take place at 1:45p. They took her inside around 12:20p to prep and wait. After a few minutes a staff member called me and I was able to sit inside the room with my daughter and keep her company until they take her to OR.
Waiting game...
5:00p rolled around and the staff could be heard wishing each other a good weekend... we're still waiting for my daughter to be wheeled in to OR. No one checked on her to give us an update. We even had to call a nurse twice to get a status. All they could say was that they were running behind because one of the patient was late and it created a backlog.
5:20p an anesthesiologist came in, the first of other staff members to see her... yay! They finally wheeled her in at 6:30p. She was the last patient to be seen. The staff from the nurses to the physicians were all nice and pleasant. They were all apologetic.
At this point her procedure should've been called "Out of Patience" outpatient surgery. I could understand if it was the ER but she had an appointment. She was referred to UC Davis by Sutter. Unfortunately, not a very good first time experience here at UCD.
We finally were able to get out of the hospital at 8:40p.
Happy Friday everyone...

1. Filthy run down hospital/ pediatric ER is disgusting
They moved my daughter to 3 different rooms and the last room was no where near the ER it looks like a laundry room where they have linens, duct taped thin plastic barrier and about 50 patients from ER no beds no call button she was in the chair waiting for an IV
2. In the linen type room you have zero patient privacy
I asked my daughter to be moved back to the filthy pediatric area and asked why they moved her 3 times and why they have no bed. They said because they are redoing the parking Lot. A guy next to us didn't have the curtain completely closed while my minor daughter passed by and infectious diseases were checking his testicles
3. They take so long and the doctors are standing around gossiping rather then treating patients and no empathy
4. Improper treatment, my daughter had her ear canal swollen shut from a bacterial infection they did not offer to do blood work or imaging they only offered IV fluids and Tylenol. I asked them to review her chart because she was given her real pain meds last time she had this issue and did imaging and a culture and saw the ent fot two months. He seemed frustrated the Tylenol wasn't helping and moved her. They never even gave her the bracelet to ID her.
Ultimately i will file a complaint and we walked out after a few hours of no help.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 22, 2023
UC Davis Medical Center has always taken good care of me and my wife on so many different occasions. The doctors and the staff are all so knowledgeable and caring, and always there to see to the comfort of the patient.
I have been on the Emergency Department on two occasions, and on both occasions, I was seen to immediately - provided care and medical attention to immediately relieve me of pain. And they also provided me with further testing to single out the cause of my distress. They were very thorough and the speed by which they operate is highly commendable!
I also had to bring my wife here on a medical emergency where the doctors and the nurses did everything to speed to save her life! I am so grateful for the institution and all the personnel that stand by this institution. For them to gift me and my kids the life of my wife is something we will remember about UC Davis, and a lifetime of gratitude to everyone in the NSICU!
When you go here to the UC Davis Medical Center, you are in good hands!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Candace L.Midtown, Sacramento, CA02Apr 6, 2024
Nightmare birth experience. The Student doctors are ill equipped and the doctors the over see them never visit you. I suffered painful vaginal examinations because the so called doctor didn't know what she was doing. End up in a c section and my OB never came. I dropped them right after. I will never get that time back. I'm am livid and scarred for life.
I also paid out the wazoo to be treated like a number.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Hi Candace,
I work at UC Davis Health in the communications department and help respond to online comments. We want to apologize that the experience here didn’t meet your expectations. Thank you for sharing this – we will pass it along to our management.
Unfortunately, patient privacy restrictions prevent us from addressing confidential medical issues online, so I’m unable to provide a specific response here (as you’ll see is the case with other online comments).
However, we always encourage any patients or family members with unresolved concerns to consider reaching out to the Patient Relations department at 916-734-9777 to explore things in more detail (if they haven’t already).
The Patient Relations department serves a special liaison role between patients and health care teams. They can capture experiences and concerns in more detail; provide more context and share internally as appropriate with the right parties.
Their office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. There are also ways to submit feedback or complaints via email or online at the following website https://health.ucdavis.edu/patient_relations/
Thank you,

Patient relations doesn't do anything
The rehab is not affiliated with uc Davis
File JHCO complaints against both facilities
Lisa leis is unhelpful and lies
The CEO laughs and vulnerable patients and denies without submitting for authorization
Don't waste your time either this place. My uncle was harmed and their errors contributed to his death.
Also google uc Davis er patient reviews... they have barely over a 1- don't believe the hype. Davis is a nightmare are the attitude coming from their ceo - you don't want to deal with that pr#i*k.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Dan H.SoMa, San Francisco, CA13Apr 15, 2024
We lived in Auburn in years past and my medical care was attended to by the medical staff at University of California, San Francisco, i had fantastic care there! We moved back to Grass Valley a few years ago and decided to get our medical care closer at UC Davis. Biggest mistake of my life, UCSF was amazing and my experiance at UC Davis has been horrible. If you can get a Primary Care physician, you better be ready to book out your next visit for 6 months or so. I have dealt with some outstanding doctors, they are just overworked and patients suffer. I am 77 years old with some medical issues and I am sick and tired of hearing how far booked out any doctor I would like to see is. I have met some fine doctors at Davis, but the system truly sucks. I am sending this message at 1am, sleepless with some concerns that I would like to get medical advice from sometime soon. I know that to make an appointment with my primary or any speciality physician, I will have to wait many months. The UC Davis system sucks and I will be taking the long drive to San Francisco to get proper care.

I would give this place a zero if I could.
Our pediatrician referred us to the children's gastroenterology department because our daughter was having unexplained stomach pains in January. It took so long for them to call us, I eventually just called them. They tell me, and again this is January, that their soonest appointment WAS IN MARCH! So we wait, our daughters pain becomes more intense, more frequent. We finally get to March, we go in, and they say "oh, your appointment is in May". MAY! I was livid. Not only did it take MONTHS to be seen, they gave me the wrong appointment! My daughter was so upset because she finally thought she was getting an answer, and sobbed all the way out of the office and home. I called our pediatrician, told them this was unacceptable, and they referred us to Sacramento Children's Gastroenterology. Holy cow what a difference! They called THAT SAME DAY and got us in in 3 weeks.
Turns out, my daughters intestines were packed and if we had had to wait longer they could have burst and she could have gone septic and died. So thanks for nothing UC Davis! You sick!
Save yourself and your loved ones and just go somewhere else. Anywhere else.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lydia S.Natomas, Sacramento, CA04646Mar 13, 2024
After seeing many doctors at Sutter hospital that failed to help my father, my mother decided to take my father into UC Davis hospital and it was the best choice! they are the best! They knew what to do, and took care of it right away. A big THANK YOU so much DR FLYNN for saving my dad's life. He's the absolute best! Thank you again.

Our son has had to been seen by the amazing medical professional at UCD since his NICU stay as a premature newborn. He has had to come back for scans, tests, and now a PICU stay for RSV. The staff is always incredible and on top of things. Even when we've had negative experiences with nurses, the charge nurses and management teams are always responsive and supportive. We love our UCD family.
