The Hagia Sophia Mosque is truly amazing. The size, details, and ornate architecture is a must see. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds

I thought this underground reservoir was truly a unique attraction. You have to get tickets early or maybe spend a few bucks more to get a guide just to bypass the line. The guide gets you in, speaks maybe 5 minutues, and then you are free to navigate the walk on your own. This is a must do in Istanbul.

Extremely beautiful inside, on par with Hagia Sophia (but very different). Free to enter. Strict dress code - I was fully covered with a hoodie - and they asked me to wear a scarf around my waist because I was wearing pants (they want women in long skirts).

Well preserved and interesting to visit. So many photo opportunities. In April not so many tourists - I suspect this gets rammed in high season. Not much shade - take a hat or umbrella.

Part of our organized tour, we visited this beautiful lavish palace which was the royal residence of the Ottoman Empire for almost 400 years. I was so glad that being a tour, we were able to skip the lines for buying tickets..It was extremely busy being an international holiday post Ramanan. The grounds are beautiful but it’s much bigger than you think so choose the courts, the gallery rooms you want to see, we enjoyed the treasure rooms with the artifacts, the kitchen and the artillery room . The tiles and decorations are magnificent to see. We even had a great view of the Bosphorus River ..great place to take pictures. A must to visit if you are in Istanbul.

While this is a much small Mosque, it is worth a quick walkthrough to see. Though I'll have to say after awhile, many of these smaller Mosque all start to look the same from the inside.

Amazing place, many historical sites close by. Too many stores selling the same products, very aggressive store clerks, if not buying refuse to enter the store. The sites are amazing, all very close by.

We took a simple 2 hour cruise on the strait. It is scenic but I would not do anything special but get the most basic cruise to take some photos. Hence, no evening or dinner cruises. We spent $15 a person.

This is an amazing and extensive place. It's position along the riverside makes a great background. As well as the several special gateways and buildings the gardens surrounding them are good too. Worth a visit.
