You have to get tickets early or maybe spend a few bucks more to get a guide just to bypass the line. The guide gets you in, speaks maybe 5 minutues, and then you are free to navigate the walk on your own. I was so glad that being a tour, we were able to skip the lines for buying tickets..It was extremely busy being an international holiday post Ramanan. The grounds are beautiful but it’s much bigger than you think so choose the courts, the gallery rooms you want to see, we enjoyed the treasure rooms with the artifacts, the kitchen and the artillery room . The tiles and decorations are magnificent to see. We even had a great view of the Bosphorus River ..great place to take pictures. As well as the several special gateways and buildings the gardens surrounding them are good too.
