I had got a week booked off work, so I waited to book until I could see the weather forecast & decide where to go.
Saw that Turkey had got a good 20c every day forecast, so booked on 1/3 & travelled on 4/3.
It was my first visit to Turkey & I really didn’t know what to expect, but knew I needed a top class resort to make my trip great.
Arrived at Antalya in the early afternoon & we were whisked straight to the hotel.
I had booked a land view, but requested a pool view on a high floor & that is what I was given.
On arrival, the receptionist was really friendly.
First impression of the lobby was that some work was being done, but that didn’t bother me.
Nice glass elevator to take you up to the 7th floor, room was beautiful & a great view of the pool & sea.
Lovely room, really comfortable bed, lovely bathroom.
Went down to the bar for a drink, was blown away by the choice of spirits, all named brands including approx 10 malt whiskies🤩all included in the All inclusive. I’ve never known this anywhere I’ve been.
Various bars to take a drink, all offering the same.
Evening meal was delicious, fantastic choices of food.
Nice that the waiter brought wine & poured it into a proper long stemmed wine glass.
It made your meal feel special, like a night out in a restaurant, rather than all you can eat buffet.
After a great night, we slept soundly. Hotel was quiet, all corridors were fully carpeted.
Next day, had a wander. Beautiful beach &in main season I expect it’s busy, but was only just gearing up for the summer, so no sunbeds & jetty’s had no wooden flooring.
A few neighbouring hotels appeared closed, and work being done on shops, so workmen around.
Out in the street, lots of Turkish men selling perfume & stuff which I daren’t buy, cos it might be fake? So only ventured out twice.
Overall absolutely stunning hotel, and every staff member went above & beyond to give you the best holiday.
I paid a bargain price, I couldn’t afford what they charge in the summer & it would be too hot.
I imagine I will be back for another off season week another year.
I had always been told that Cyprus hotels were better than Turkish, but this time they were wrong, it was the best place I’ve ever stayed.
