Go on, spoil us next time with an extra chunk of ducky goodness: it will help to avoid the carroty feedback. Usually excellent. Must’ve been the Monday blues....☹️ I’ll come in disguise next time.

The Roast Chicken for 2 is HUGE. It's a whole chicken and could probably feed 3 quite easily. Had some desert also and wasn't disappointed in any way. Nice family pub, dog-friendly, clean, and spacious. The staff is attentive, polite, welcoming and the food arrives...pretty quick too. If you don't like dogs you'd probably want to avoid this place like the plague. At one point I asked if it was a kennel there were so many dogs but there's a huge beer garden at the front and back and there's loads of space inside too.More
Sunday Lunch, great for meat eaters but not so much for others, no veggie roast or fish alternative. Lamb was the meat of choice, cooked well & the vegetables were al'dente just as they should be. We decided on the cod, as no roast option...for us, it wasn't a great piece but it was cooked well, couldn't taste the rosemary in the mash & the courgettes were swimming with oil, spoilt the dish. The panna cotta was lovely as was the chocolate espresso cake.More
My friend and I came here for a drink this evening, and received the worst service the moment we stepped foot inside. The woman with short hair and a blue top who served me at the bar was just rude. My friend ordered a pizza...from her at the bar and came outside to sit back down. Her card got declined so the woman came to our table to let us know. She then told us that we used the wrong table number on the order ‘205’ when our actual table was ‘204’. We then apologised for the mistake and asked her if she could change it on the order, and she said okay. My friend had then asked if she could wait a moment for her to transfer money into the right bank card, and the lady said ‘no’. The table behind us (number 205) had ordered their own food and a long while after they finished, they had received a pizza, the same one we had ordered. We tried not to think too much of it, and my friend thought she would go to the bar to ask. In the meantime I’m sat at our table overhearing the same lady take all their plates and mentioned ‘how was the food? Especially this extra pizza’. By that time she had returned to the bar, my friend asked her where her food was (it had been at least an hour since we ordered and there was no delay on food), she blamed my friend and said that the pizza had been delivered to 205 and that it was my friends fault that she said the wrong table number, even though the same lady came to our table and told us we had mentioned the wrong number and we had asked her to change it (like you would expect any normal service to do and not to blame us for a 1 number mistake). Not only was this woman rude the moment we walked in, she proceeded to make our experience more difficult by purposely sending our food elsewhere and then blaming my friend, even though we had asked her to change the number, before we had even paid. Not only did we not receive a pizza, we did not receive any apology or any refund. What a bloody joke of an evening. Not sure what this woman’s problem was, but she certainly wanted to take it out on us. Thanks for the £12.50 pizza we never had, we’re sure those customers on table 205 were very pleased.More
Cramped (non covid aware) conditions. Rubbish / inexperienced staff preoccupied with upselling “substantial meal with drink” rule than any regard for pleasant / safe customer experience. Thoroughly regrettable visit.
I used to recommend TPT as a pleasant place to eat, with a good menu and friendly staff, but not since last visit when they refused to produce a printed lunch menu for a visually disabled customer who could not read the blackboard, and refused...to run up a tab without taking my credit card and keeping it behind the bar, out of my sight, whereas a tab was offered on previous occasions. The bar/menu-order staff member was inflexible and unsympathetic to my friend's inability to read the blackboard menu due to visual disability. I paid for my drinks separately, then paid in advance for our main course orders. With both of us over 60, we were unlikely to do a successful runner without paying, so I think a tab could have been safely offered. I later wrote to the TPT, with no reply, and then emailed them, again with no reply. I concluded that this means they have no consideration for their customers. Perhaps the staff member I spoke to was having a bad day, or was new and "only following orders" without any empathy for their customers. Perhaps there had been a change of management. Whatever the reason, I won't be going there again, and nor will our many friends.More
We chose this pub for a small family celebration due to its location, despite never having visited it before. Joanna was extremely helpful, booking us a table and ringing to confirm with us before the event. They let us drop a huge cake the night...before and were really helpful on the day bringing it out with plates and a knife etc. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and the pub itself was really clean and airy with a great selection of drinks too. Everyone was very happy.More
Very good food, welcome, service plus value for money. Our Sunday lunch / pm experience was excellent. There were many families enjoying the food and atmosphere with a relaxed attitude to the many children at this time of the day / weekend. Roast Beef had...sold out, as a result Bavette steak available (and slightly cheaper). All other items available. Keep up the good cuisine and service.More
I just wanted to say thank you to Joanna and the staff at Tufnell Park Tavern. We wanted a private space for a 21st birthday party and from our first enquiry to (politely) telling us the pub was shutting after the event they were helpful,...professional, friendly & accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. They worked around all of our requests, talked through menus, drinks. The food (we had various mezzes, charcuterie boards, flatbreads and dips) was amazing ... they also accommodated us bringing a huge birthday cake. I cant rate this experience high enough ... thank you so so much for helping to make it so special. xMore
Took my friend out for lunch and we ordered “lunch special”. What we got was a watery shallow bowl of overcooked orzo bathing in very thin tomato sauce. I would not serve it to my dog. This used to be a nice neighbourhood spot, but...it is my second awful meal there in a few weeks (the previous one was not a “special.”) I shall not ever eat there again.More
Went to this pub earlier this week with my girlfriend and my daughter on my daughter's recommendation. Loved the look of the pub and the menu was great so I ordered the Asparagus and my daughter ordered a chicken salad, having first checked whether it...coukd be done without onions as she has an intolerance. My asparagus was excellent but my daughter's salad arrived covered in onions. We sent it back but instead of accepting their mistake and preparing another dish they scraped off the majority of the onion and returned it. Fortunately she is intolerant rather than allergic but I struggle to understand why someone would deliberately risk making a customer ill rather than remake a salad. Will certainly not be returning.More
Lovely building, nice outside areas, good food, fabulous live music, etc. The only problem was that I ordered a round while my friend ordered a pizza and the bartender rapidly charged everything to my friend without even stating the total or checking with us! When...she realised that there had been a mistake, her reply was, “Yeah… you didn’t specify…”More
Came here with my housemate on her recommendation, a top notch London pub, and the garden out back is such a beaut spot. Bargain 2 dishes off the lunch £8 menu and then a great Baba Ganoush with flatbreads to accompany. Really nice chaps behind...the bar, a new local established!More
Usually love this place, me and my partner came here for Sunday lunch we ordered two soups and two roast dinners everywhere we have been a starter comes before the main. To our frustration the roasts came before the soups they did offer to put...the roasts back but this would of just sat there and wouldn't be nice to eat after as they were out of roast dinners so wouldn't been replaced. The attitude of a particular staff member was shocking I asked for some sauces for our roasts she came and slammed down the condiments I asked for a refund of the soups and seemed to be a big deal I pulled her on why did she slam the sauces she just replied by laughing in my face and eye rolling she was very strange I don't know how she thinks that's appropriate behaviour. No apology. Won't be coming back to shocking service. The food is nice but I'm old school and do believe in good customer service and it's definitely not here.More
We held our daughters 21st birthday celebration for family and close friends here last Saturday lunch time. It was the perfect venue to blend family and close friends. The food was amazing and we were given excellent service as well as amazing advice about wine...to go with the food. Jo who organised the event managed everything beautifully and the event couldn't have been more perfect!More
