Trump’s Modeling Agency Shuts Down

Trump Model Management has closed its doors. 

The modeling agency founded by the Trump Organization is shuttering according to a source in the New York-based office, who confirmed the news Monday. 

“I feel really sad and hurt that it had to end this way. We were a very tight group and worked very well together,” a former Trump Models agent told The Hollywood Reporter. “We did a great job and our models clearly loved us; they stayed until the end. But to see people terrified for their job security and their future? That wasn’t nice, especially when it was not our fault that the name of the agency was what it was.”

There have been rumblings that the agency was on thin ice, including a report from The Washington Post stating that a manager of the business recently left to launch a new agency called Anti Management. That manager also took “many of the women who were once on the Trump Models roster,” according to the newspaper.

The agency, founded in 1999, once repped Veronica Webb, Jerry Hall, Yasmin Le Bon and Carmen Dell’Orefice.

Just before the November election, Trump model Maggie Rizer announced her decision to split from her agency.

Shoppers began to boycott Ivanka Trump’s clothing line before the November election in a movement spearheaded by the social watchdog group #GrabYourWallet, but as recently as February, Trump Models was still able to book models for the runways at New York Fashion Week.

The agency came under fire last summer for violating immigration rules by allowing three of its models to work without proper documentation.

Other Trump businesses that have folded include Trump Steaks, Trump Magazine, Trump Mortgage and travel website GoTrump.com.
