What is your story?

SCROLL DOWN

What is your story?

...and is it the story you want to tell?

Stories have a particular kind of meaning in our lives.  We tell stories every day, about our family, friends, co-workers, partners, and about ourselves.  As a therapist I have heard many stories, some that divide us from others and drive us towards sadness, and some that inspire us towards connection and a greater understanding of our mission in this world.  As your therapist I want to empower you to create your own story.  I want to give your story, your relationships, and your life the most possible meaning.

Questions for Trevor?

Before engaging in the process of therapy, it is important to question your motives and intent.  Will therapy really be a useful thing for your life? Unfortunately, only you are the expert on you, so that answer must come from within.  I hope to begin asking questions that not only can heal but will also lead you on a thoughtful journey of getting to know yourself.

If you are specifically interested in Premarital Counseling I also offer a video series called Launch to Land. This is an affordable alternative to traditional Premarital Counseling and an effective way to prepare for married life together. Learn more at my social media links below or on the site!

Trevor White, MS LMFT MHP

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Professional in the State of Washington (LF60700436).  My training primarily comes from my time obtaining my Masters in Science from Seattle Pacific University.  While in school I specialized in Narrative therapy as well as various other Post-Modern therapies.  I have wide and varied experience ranging from working with clients in elementary schools to clients in jail, and everyone in between.  Sometimes I joke that I have seen clients for every part of the DSM, but of course that's not true, I am still missing two diagnoses.

In my professional training I have obtained specialized experience working with Couples, specifically couples dealing with Infidelity, Pre-marital therapy, Individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse/Misuse, Chronic Mental Illness, and Adolescents dealing with adjustment disorders.  Outside of this I have proficiency dealing with a myriad of other issues that can come up in therapy.

I have worked at Sunrise Community Mental Health, Youth Eastside Services, Seattle University, and Emmanuel Bible Church.  I also have experience teaching as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Psychology Department at Trinity Lutheran College.
