Trevor Lawrence got himself a ring before his NFL career even began.
In April 2021, the former Clemson Tigers quarterback married his longtime girlfriend Marissa Mowry in Bluffton, South Carolina.
“My love🤍 forever,” Mowry captioned a series of wedding photos on Instagram.
An athlete herself, Mowry played soccer at Anderson University in South Carolina and started dating Lawrence in 2016.
Lawrence, the first overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft, proposed to Mowry in the summer of 2020.
“FOREVER,” Lawrence posted to Instagram at the time. “You’re everything I’ve dreamed of. I love you and can’t wait to marry you.”
Shortly after the couple announced their engagement, Mowry penned an emotional message about getting to marry the 6-foot-6 quarterback.
“When I sat down and thought about our engagement day I just got overwhelmed with thankfulness that 1) I get to marry my best friend 2) He had the most detailed, sweet proposal planned 3) I have so many amazing friends who celebrated us all weekend and received so much love from everyone,” Mowry posted in July 2020.
Mowry added how Clemson University will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
“Clemson made it possible for our relationship to maintain and grow. Clemson brought me my best friends. Clemson brought me community, mentors, a church,” she continued.
Ahead of the spring 2021 nuptials, Lawrence celebrated his final days as a single man in Las Vegas with friends. The crew hit Sin City, where Lawrence was photographed at casino tables.
Lawrence also opted out an April 2021 NFL medical test in the days leading up to his wedding and took in The Masters with Mowry. While at August National, the couple encountered Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is set to marry his high school sweetheart, Brittany Matthews, next year.
Although Lawrence’s NFL destination won’t be decided until after the NFL Draft, which takes place in late April 2021, fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars — who own the top pick — have been donating wedding gifts to their potential franchise quarterback.
