Living as pariahs on the outskirts of Gloucestershire, three generations of Cutlers, the infamous family of professional criminals, spend their time planning the next heist and mocking the police. But, more and more, Chad, the eldest son who is under the wing of Colby, the family's patriarch and the one who pulls all the strings, finds himself wavering from his desire to live a quiet life with his wife and son away from crime, and his fearful respect to his father. Then Colby devises a plan, targeting a private art collection, and a lifetime of bad decisions, senseless violence, and crime will begin to collapse, underlining the fact that Chad, his father's worthy son and heir, needs to make up his mind. Will Chad summon up the courage to stand up for himself and spread his wings, or will he break up the family? After all, he's only got one.Written by

Is it true we come from fishes?
What'd you say?
It's what they said at school.
You just listen to me, me boy, and listen good... No one is about to tell me I come from the arse of an ape, or that your granddaddy were a goldfish. Really. What a load of bollocks.
You really think God made us from a fish?

Great acting but so slow an almost uninspired. One of the biggest disappointments I have seen in a long time
"Here's the truth, you pass it down from father to son. From father, son, grandson." Chad Cutler (Fassbender) has been involved in his dad Colby's (Gleeson) for his entire life. Chad's son is starting to understand what is going on and Chad makes a decision to get out of the family business. Things aren't always as easy as they seem though. This is a movie I had pretty high expectations for. Both of the main actors are great and this is really my style of movie. That being said I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed in one. I really really struggled to get into this movie and there never really seemed to be a plot or something to keep the story moving forward. The acting is great, but that can only take a movie so far. I'm sure many people will enjoy this one, but as for me I got bored early on and never really got to a point where I cared about what was going on. Overall, great acting but so slow an almost uninspired. One of the biggest disappointments I have seen in a long time. I sadly give this a C.
